Cuts like butter, and everything is within reach thanks to the long shaft and articulating cutter head. Very happy with this purchase.

Easy to assemble, works great, saved me hundreds from having someone else trim the hedges.

Great product. Works very well, and is very easy to use. Only downside is the weight, which pretty much every other reviewer mentions. If you have really tall bushes, and you need to hold it up to trim the top, be prepared for a workout. It gets heavy fast.

Works great! Only thing I would change would be the safety harness, more of a pain but I cant think of a harness that work help hold up the trimmer while in use.

Very heavy but shoulder strap helps counter balance. Stored first night in vertical position and had to clean pre filter to start. My fault- instructions state store horizontal.

So far great. Fantastic. I’ve had it a few weeks. I tried the new-for-2020 (afaik) HC-2810, which is a conventional 28″ handheld. Very nice, but it had a starting problem right out of the box and was probably defective with an intermittent ignition coil. I wanted to get a replacement, but I decided on this as the replacement, since the 2810 was back-ordered. Lighter than expected. Powerful. The articulating head is great. The length is not too long and is manageable for different actual hedges. If you have wild growth around the yard this is great. I have parasitic vines crawling up 50-60ft pine trees right near my house, and this whacks them back so they don’t imperil the tree and my house. I also have an Echo SRM-410U brush-cutter that I bought a year ago to take care of business. I wanted to lift that up in the air to do hedges and be an all-in-one cheapskate who extracts extracurricular work out of his tools, but that doesn’t work. I decided to spend with an enticing Home Depot 12 mos. same as cash financing offer. There’s just the articulating head with a grease fitting to keep lubed with lithium grease. I bought an old style oiler to oil the blades before each use with Walmart synthetic 20W.

Overall it was what I expected. The only negative was it was missing 1 screw to anchor the head to the shaft. Had to purchase 1 from landscape equipment store

Had trouble assembling. Went to HD and they assembled it in minutes. It is HEAVY. I’m 76 and can’t get on a ladder. This works great for high places for me. Just need to take my time…do a few hedges at a time. Machine works great…just needs to be lighter if possible. Easy to start!

I like the trimmer a lot. I have 12′ tall Red Robins (aka: Red Tips) that I couldn’t trim without it. I’m over 60 and the trimmer is a little heavy, but just need to take breaks to prevent fatigue. No problem if younger.
