ECHO’s PAS-225VP weed trimmer and lawn edger kit is part of the Pro Attachment Series (PAS) and can a accommodate up to 12 attachments. It starts easily and works effectively. The grass edger attachment is perfect for creating manicured sidewalks and the lawn trimmer attachment powerfully cuts through tough grass. This kit features a power head with a 21.2 cc 2-stroke cycle gas engine. All ECHO yard trimmer engines are certified with the highest EPA engine durability rating.
- Use a 50:1 ratio of fuel to oil mix for 2-stroke cycle engines, recommend using only fresh gas with a minimum octane rating of 89 or higher (mid-grade to premium) at all times
- Straight shaft trimmer and edger kit features a 21.2 cc professional-grade 2-stroke engine
- PAS weed trimmer and edger kit comes with a 5-year consumer/2-year commercial warranty

I have just assembled it, was not hard, but not used it yet. I had Echo trimmer before, that worked very well. That was why I purchased this one because I also need the edger, and this combo is a good deal. I also had the Stilh trimmer before the last Echo. The Stilh worked Ok, too, but I like Echo better because the Echo is easier to start. Both Echo and Stilh are well built, but for some reasons I feel Echo products are more reliable than the Stilh for the same price range.

This is a highly dependable trimmer that surpassed my expectations. I have not used the edging attachment yet but the trimmer does a great job. Echo should include the shoulder sling instead of offering it as an extra. The users manual could be more explicit about loading then spool.

The attachments are easily interchangeable, and while the weight is good, it’s missing a shoulder strap which would make it easier to handle. It’s still a good value.

I love that weed eater! So easy to use. The only thing is – I wish I had known that the string thing had to be screwed on opposite to normal screws 🙂 My 5yos discovered how to do it after I tried for 30 minutes 🙂
