I’ve owned electrical wired Black and Decker for 12 years or so. Though was irritated with the wire always on my way or getting trapped any time I used it. This year I decided to invest into my yard tools. Bought a gas trimmer and then this gas blower. Comparing electrical and this one I’d say that the electrical may even be more powerful or the same while being 3 times lighter. I expected it to be WAY more powerful than my old electrical, but it’s not, and considering its weight I have no choice but return it. For $400 it must be more powerful, but I guess that’s the way it is. Good ones start with $550 – $600. I’m going to get and evaluate 63.3” CC models to see what blow strength they can produce. It’s going to cost me at least $200 more but if the performance is good – heck with it. My philosophy is in order not to hate a job you do you have to have right tools and this one is definitely not right one.

I replaced a different older model with this beast. It has twice the CC’s as my old blower and really moves the leaves. Even wet ones and I mean wet, not just damp. I agree with another reviewer about the harness needing a chest/breast strap to keep it from feeling like it wants to slip off. And it could use a little longer tube. Starts great so far and seems to have less vibration than my older unit.

Ilive the throttle on the left. That’s how my first one was many years ago. The metal ring on the tip prevents distortion of your air flow!!! Great blower , plenty of power.

More fun then work! Power is perfect unless you have wet pine needels then you gotta use your foot to loosen them up. And the throttle on the side instead of handle is great. Glad to not be swing tube and pushing button I can see finger getting cramped. Worth the few extra bucks.
