The professional-grade ECHO PE-225 gas edger gives a crisp edge between the sidewalk and lawn. - Use a 50:1 ratio of fuel to oil mix for 2-stroke cycle engines, recommend using only fresh gas with a minimum octane rating of 89 or higher (mid-grade to premium) at all times
- 50:1 ratio equal 1 US Gal. 89 octane plus 2.6 fl. oz. ECHO PowerBlend gold oil or ECHO red armor oil

I had an older walk-behind edger that did the job until it didn’t… I found this stick edger, it had a great price, and I love it now. This works so much better than my older unit and it’s easy to use and store. Great purchase! If you have lots of curb and/or sidewalks, this is the finishing touch to put your yardwork results over the top! No complaints. It’s not super-powerful, but it’s not expensive. I’ve been running the 2006 version that I bought from Home Depot around my .25 acre lot for 14 years. I’m not great with maintenance, either – it still has the same spark plug, I eyeball a mix of gas and motor oil, and don’t use fuel stabilizer. And it still works.
