The professional-grade ECHO PE-225 gas edger gives a crisp edge between the sidewalk and lawn. Nice edger. It has plenty of power and runs smoothly. The only gripe I have is that it seems to be much easier to flood out when starting when compared to my 7 year old nearly identical echo string trimmer. It’s probably just a side effect of the newer emissions requirements. I don’t fault the product itself. I have another new 2 cycle engine from a different manufacturer that acts the same way.

This was my second edger. First one broke after a couple years of use. This cuts very well with the standard blades. So much cleaner than a string trimmer. If you are looking to take your yard up a level this is a great tool to have. Would recommend to my friends.

I’ve used this edger twice in the past month, and it does the job exactly as I predicted- a precise and thorough edging around my swimming pool and paved walkway. It took far less time and effort to do the job. My only complaint is that the handle isn’t as tight as it should be- one of the bolts seems to have been stripped. Other than that, it is a wonderful tool!
