- Use a 50:1 ratio of fuel to oil mix for 2-stroke cycle engines, recommend using only fresh gas with a minimum octane rating of 89 or higher (mid-grade to premium) at all times
- 50:1 ratio equal 1 US Gal. 89 octane plus 2.6 fl. oz. ECHO PowerBlend gold oil or ECHO red armor oil
- Bush trimmer features a 21.2 cc professional-grade 2-stroke gas engine

I’ve bought my trimmers when they first came available and not had one problem. The blades stay sharp and I do grease the head often as well spray W D 40 on the blades before usage. I winterize it when done for season so it will start right up in the spring. I take very good care of them and they in return have made me a lot of money. I HIGHLY recommend the trimmers.

This trimmer does everything that I expected it to do when I bought it. It was able to cut up to 1″ diameter branches, but I had to attack the branch from both sides. The weight is minimal, but I will say cutting for an hour is long enough to make your arms tired. All in all though, fantastic piece of equipment and you will not regret this purchase.

This new ECHO 21 in. 21.2cc Gas 2-Stroke Cycle Hedge Trimmer is the best tool I’ve purchased in a long while…I previously had an electric trimmer and it had a lot of difficulty trimming even small bushes without getting jammed…The Echo turned a 4-hour job into a 30-minute job.I bought the model with the long handle hoping that it would allow me to have a better view of the bushes as I was trimming (my old one had a short handle and didn’t allow a “big picture” view to see if I was making a level cut across the top)…But, honestly, after I placed the order, I wondered if the long handle might make the trimmer heavy and a bit unwieldy…Once I cranked it up and grabbed the trimmer with both hands it was well-balanced and was not heavy in the slightest.I also found that I no longer need a ladder to do my trimming, another nice surprise…This thing has surpassed my expectations!…A bit pricey, but I’m learning that, most of the time, you get what you pay for…If you pay for a consumer grade tool, you’ll get consumer grade quality and, along with it, a lot of frustration…Now, I always buy commercial grade tools.
