I bought this a few years ago & it is exactly what I needed. Easy start. Plenty of power.Easy loading of string. If you use only ethanol free gas you will have less trouble with gas lines going bad.Easy feed of line , just tap & go. Keep air filter clean & this thing will cut like crazy.Spend a little extra & buy this instead of cheap junk.

Use this trimmer to maintain an acre property. It cut through tall grass and dense weeds like butter. It is also very easy to start and to restring trimmer line through. Would be nice if it came with a shoulder strap.

Bought this on the recomendation of the guy at the power equipment store and he was spot on. Everything about this trimmer is great: easy to start, easy to use,Very Powerful without a lot of noise. BEST OF ALL: the the ingenious new line feed head is SO much better that even if you’re inclined towards a different brand (as I was) that alone is reason enough to buy this one.

I’m retired and only keep my own yard now but I havebeen familiar with Echo products since the 80s ! I was a repair technician at a dealer back then and Also had my own business in the 90s . I can tell you that Echo equipment is the best ! I still have a chainsaw I bought in the 80s that runs great!

Replaced a 20 year old Echo “Curved Shaft” model. easy to operate, powerful, more than does the job. Not entirely thrilled with the width of cut. Use dthe old one as an edger and the line was sharp. New model cuts a much wider path. not sure why. perhaps operator error. No complaints.

Recently upgraded to this on the recommendation of my local shop. It’s been a great machine. Honestly a bit to much or a average residential yard. We are planning on buy several acres soon so I guess we won’t need to worry about a trimmer as I have no concerns about the power of this thing.

I recently purchased this trimmer. I purchased from a local Echo Dealer. I was torn between the 225, 225i75, and the 2320T. I’m only trimming healthy grass, so I settled on the 225. The purchase included a bottle of oil for the 2-cycle mix, but purchased the premix 50:1 fuel sold by Echo. Naturally it started easily being brand new, but could still feel the spring assist. This trimmer was also very quiet. The Speed Feed is a nice feature, which the dealer walked me through.

This is the 5th piece of Echo equipment that I’ve purchased. There’s a reason for that. ‘Nuff said!

I purchased this in August of 2019 and I had to get used to this Echo since my old Craftsman of 17 years was starting to degrade. I have been using weed eaters (electric to gas) since I was 16 years old and now I am 43 three so I have experience using weed eaters. So within 6 months after use and when I was about to cut the grass the next time I noticed drops of oil on the floor. I was so disappointed because if Craftsman items were not headed towards the dumps I would have purchased one again like we did in 2002 that lasted 17 years. BTW the Craftsman weed eater was less in cost. vs this Echo unit. This was only maybe 6 months and oil problems.

Like everyone else, these unit is really nice, except for the guard. Yes it meets spec, but is sucks. Fix it. I am going to order the other guard if I can find the part number. Does anybody know the part number?
