It works well. Don’t think its the best value.

Excellent power.

Amazing how this trimmer performs and how my hands are not numb after a few hours of trimming. I owned a cheaper brand (store brand) that was not made for the work. Definitely worth the research and the money I invested.

I bought an Echo SRM-2620T recently, and so far ,after about five hours of use it appears to be a decent machine, but it should be for the price. For a 25cc unit,it is at the very high end of what one should pay.Build quality is good by today’s standards, but nothing to brag about.A comparable size Stihl is better built,in my opinion.Fuel economy is good, power is excellent and it starts very easily.Weight is claimed to be around 12.5 pounds but actually,to me,feels much heavier than that for some reason. What disappoints me greatly concerns what ISN’T included. For a unit approaching $400,I would expect to get at least a cheap shoulder strap.I would expect a Torx T27 L-wrench or a combination Torx driver/sparkplug wrench to be included. At the very least,I would expect a tool for locking the head for trimmer head removal to be included.Stihl includes at least some of these items with various models. The other negative is the owner’s manual-it’s a joke.I have over 30 years experience with brushcutters and line trimmers and frankly,I feel sorry for the first-time buyer trying to use and maintain this trimmer based on the info found in this manual. To say it is “vague” is a severe understatement.

Overall very good so far. I mow about 40 properties a month & have always used Echo’s SRM-225’s which cost about $200 and work very well. Because they work so well I was reluctant to pay $100 more for slightly more power…but after a day of mowing I’m glad I upgraded. The extra power comes in handy

I recently bought this trimmer and just used it for the first time. The yard behind my house gets really thick with south Texas Johnson grass and was extremely hard to cut with my Echo 225 with the brush blade. I read a lot of reviews online and decided to give this bad boy a go. The price was a little more than I wanted to pay, but after the first cut I can see why. While I did go through almost all of the first pre-loaded .095 helix string, it made short work of the thick weeds, fence line and even edging (which I normally dont use a trimmer for). My cut time was literally half of what it usually is and it looks a lot nicer. Its a bit on the heavy side, but that’s understandable for the power you get from it. The ability to maintenance easy is a huge plus. This is a definite recommend on my part for anyone needing some heavy duty cutting and a budget that fits.

Plenty of power for taking care of tall grass and weeds. The last one I had lasted 9 years. It’s nice to have new tools.

Started first pull then never even boged down while cutting tall (3ft) weeds on a quarter acre. With a 5-year warranty they believe in their product. Now so do I.

Great product!

Wow the power is amazing with string or blade. Fast starts as well. Retired my old Echo at 28 years!

Works great but the trigger is too sensitive. Hard to keep constant rpm.

This ECHO is a beast! Great power, professional grade that should last me, a homeowner, well past the point where I will be taking care of my own lawn. When flipped, it turns into the perfect edger. My lines along the driveway and street have never been so crisp. Easy to start and easy to handle – though this thing has so much power it gets away from me from time to time – still learning! Highly, highly recommend this product.

Powerful and light weight. Been using a Honda 4 cycle but trimming several hundred feet of fence line and stream bed was difficult due to the weight. This echo is much lighter but packs a serious punch and handles the tall grass without any problem. Starts very easily for a 2 cycle. Echo makes a very good product.

This is my second Echo trimmer. I had a 266T prior to this. The motor seems identical in power and ease of starting (one pull on full choke, a second pull on open choke). It’s just a tad lighter (empty) and offers a bigger fuel tank. The 266T is a little cheaper and the reality is, I never ran it empty on my 5000ft lot or even my parents’ 9500ft lot. The only reason I upgraded is because I’m keeping the old unit at my parents’ home permanently rather than shuttling equipment back and forth.
