Amazing power easy to operate. The harness that comes with the machine is kind of cheap but echo sells a really nice one that I purchased along with it. The 80 tooth blade was amazing and cut through bigger brush then I thought it would

Great brush cutter. For saplings need a different blade than what comes with it.

This is excellent for heavy brush. Goes through everything, within reason!

Works like the Stihl once I got better blades, but it is MUCH heavier. Harness is ridiculous and once ithe unit is locked on to the harness, it’s pretty near impossible to restart it if you stop. Stihl unit definitely has them beat there.

Very easy to assemble. Would recommend this product. Well worth the money.

I was concerned with size of unit and being able to maneuver it. The brace that comes with unit makes handling a breeze. Starts easy, plenty of power and the utilization of the 80 tooth saw blade goes through 2″ saplings with ease.

The tool was easy to assemble. It is a heavy duty brush cutter that can cut down a 2” round tree no problem. Starting is easy and with the 4 point harness is comfortable to use.

This is NOT the economy version made in China. This is the hand-made-in-Japan monster that will kill your weeds, saplings, and lawn enemies.

Easy to assemble as the tools were included. Runs great so far. I used non-oxygenated gas with the proper ratio of 2-cycle oil.

Yes it has plenty of power but the vibration is too much. I orderd a pair of Anti Vibration gloves and hopfully this will decrese vibration. Did not get a chance to really get down on it because of the vibration. May be its me since Im the only one complaining. Let me know something because im not happy about it and i dont want to return.

I bought this brush cutter to help me get rid of the tangle of honeysuckle I have in my woods. Honeysuckle is a big problem here in NW Wisconsin. I chucked the steel blade it came with and put a new carbide tipped blade on it and I was off to the races! It cuts some pretty big stumps, I’d say no they are around 3+ inches or so… I just have to take my time on the big ones so as not to stop the blade. Small stuff it just cuts like they’re butter. I figured a equivalent Stihl brush cutter would have cost me double what I spent on my new echo cutter, a good deal!

The vest helps you support the equipment. It does an excellent job. Took hours to do what would have taken DAYS!

I bought this about 10 years and have not regretted it. I own 80 acres with miles of ATV trails, woods roads, food plots and tree stands that constantly need clearing. This cutter gets about 20+ hours of work a year and has been in the shop once. The steel blade cuts 2” saplings like butter and obviously cuts all other vegetation as well. It came with a grass blade that I’ve never used. The harness is easily adjustable and makes using it for a few hours manageable. This is one tough reliable machine. If this one ever dies I’ll buy another without hesitation.

Two months ago I bought the Echo SRM-410U heavy-duty brush cutter. It is really great and half the price of the equivalent Stihl product, but it has two deficiencies: the blade it comes with isn’t that durable and wears out quickly, and the standard 3-point harness it comes with is awkward and uncomfortable to wear for long cutting sessions. If you’re buying this brush cutter, order some good carbide blades with it (I got Renegades) and order the premium 4-point harness! I did both and I’m very happy with the unit.Assembly of the unit was relatively simple using the provided tools, but if you have a better ratcheted driver it’s faster to use your own. Some of the drawings in the assembly instructions could have been clearer; it took me a few minutes to figure out where the blade lock slot was to install the blade because it didn’t look like the picture provided. With some mechanical skill the unit goes together in less than half an hour.Starting and running the cutter is easy. There’s a compression release button on top of the unit to make the starting pull lighter. If it takes more than one pull to start it, you must press the button before each pull. Mine starts on the second pull (choked) when it’s cold and on the first pull without the choke after it has been warmed up. Engine noise requires hearing protection and padded gloves will help isolate the vibration from your hands. That said, running the cutter for several hours was not terribly strenuous while wearing the premium harness. Fueled the unit weighs around 20 pounds but when that weight is evenly distributed over both shoulders it isn’t bad. This cutter is a beast. I’ve been hacking through heavy brush and cutting small trees near ground level with it, a chore I’d rather not tackle with my chain saw. It sweeps through heavy undergrowth and bushes in a way no string trimmer ever could. I used to rent brush cutters each year from a local shop which would cost me around $65 for four hours at a time. Those units were unwieldy, hand-held (no harness), and I always felt rushed to do what I could before having to return them. Having my own brush cutter is far more convenient as I can break up the task over several days without worrying about the clock and this Echo cutter is much more comfortable to use. If you have land to clear every year it’s definitely worth buying. I am very happy with this purchase and recommend this unit to anyone with a backyard jungle like mine to hack down.

Top of the line, extreme power. Easily makes short work of up to 3 1/2 saplings, thick briers and brush. Professional grade machine.

Instructions could have been better for those of us who do not put equipment together on a regular basis. Otherwise, engine started easily, ran it for about 5 hours and it had power to cut through 2″ diameter easily. Very satisfied with the machine, seems well put together and powerful.

Little heavy but works well.
