I have the 20 qt. size and found a wire rack that fits inside. I use it as a water bath canner for making pickles since they do not require a pressure canner. The bottom is quite thick and solid and produces even heating on my glass top range. It has a glass lid so you can watch the water come up to a boil to start timing the canning process. On the label it states you can use it in the oven. Though I have not tried that it should probably work since the lid and handles are metal not plastic. The only thing I can say negatively is that the metal band around the glass lid will make a “tink-ing” sound when the pot first heats up. Also the knob on the lid is slick and shapeless so I had to use a silicon pot holder because you cannot get or keep a grip with the cloth oven mitt or pot holder. I really like this pot and plan on making homemade tamales next.
