Record or stream an HDMI signal via USB 3.1 Gen 1 with the Cam Link 4K from Elgato Systems. With its HDMI input, this capture device will accept resolutions up to 3840 x 2160 at 30p. If you need to stream or record at a lower resolution, the Cam Link 4K can also work at 1080p, 1080i, and 720p.
The Cam Link 4K utilizes a plug-and-play design with its USB Type-A connector and HDMI port. Moreover, it is compatible with Windows and Mac computers. Elgato includes a USB 3.1 Gen 1 extension cable, so you can connect to devices from a distance.

ive gone through not one.. but TWO of these in 3 days. They both had the same issues among 3 different PC’s. They either didnt show anything or said no signal, and when they did work, they would freeze every few minutes of use. I cant say i recommend this at all, there are much cheaper alternatives that ACTUALLY work.

It is perfect for my Sony zv 1 camera captured videos in 4k and very good quality easy to plug and manage ,its not a hassle to plug the wires and the quality didn’t drop a single bit

I use this to connect my a6600 and use it as my webcam. Overkill, sure. But everyone on my Zoom chat loves it.

Truly plug and play. First time. Perfect quality. Now figure out how to get a clean HDMI out of the approved cameras. Still wrestling with a Nikon 7100 that’s on the list.

When it works it works, but often is buggy. Difficult for my Windows computers to recognize and freezes when used for zoom.

I’ve used cheaper versions of this but none of them hold up to what this does. It seems like you should be able to get away with a cheap alternative but they tend to overheat or even freeze up. For instance, I bought this to replace an older Atomos which would occasionally just lose the video signal for no apparent reason. And Atomos is a brand that knows what they’re doing (not blaming them specifically since it is an older card).

This has worked great for connecting my Nikon Z7ii to my Mac so I can stream weddings 4K. Works great with OBS, zoom, teams! It’s basically plug and play, just pay attention to your cameras HDMI output settings to really get the most out of it!

I was just about to buy another camera for live streaming before coming across this device. I plugged it in and BAM!!, it worked flawlessly. No complicated software, no confusing instructions just simply plug-in and play. Just make sure your using a USB 3.0, otherwise your video will stutter. No issues with my old GoPro 3+, Nikon D610, and D7100.

I upgraded from my webcam to the Cam Link, so now I can use my camera as webcam. The quality difference is amazing. For my camera (Canon M50) I had to get a dummy battery and usb cable so it doesn’t turn off after 30min. But when I got that it was perfect. I can never switch back to a normal webcam.

Easy plug & play, takes HD up to 4K from your camera to your hard drive directly. I’m a deposition videographer and no longer have to dump SD cards from my camera. Laptop becomes a monitor & recording device and camera SDs are back ups. Highly recommended, great value.

Cam link is probably one of the most valuable things elgato offers. It cut out so much editing time for me and being able to use a better quality camera is huge!

I bought this to use for a DSLR and a GoPro. It works well for streaming to Facebook Live and YouTube, which is essential for church, as well as Zoom meetings. The product is well built, and comes with an extender to make sure it fits in the USB slots. It’s about the size of a Chromecast stick and can easily fit into your pocket to take it. Great product!

There is so many issues with this thing I don’t know where to start. First off it’s not plug and play like it suggests. You have to go into some pretty intense windows settings and shut off some usb controller settings and there’s quite a bit of bandwith requirement so nothing else can be plugged into the usb ports next to it.I have contacted tech support multiple times and they have done nothing to rectify the situation and It’s less than3 months old when I started having issues.

Bought this a few weeks ago for my digital learning platform and it works like a charm. Skype, Zoom, Webex, recording video, etc. Haven’t seen anything that doesn’t work with it on my Sony video camera 4K. I’m using the software tool Sparko Cam to make recordings directly into the computer…
