Description
Record or stream an HDMI signal via USB 3.1 Gen 1 with the Cam Link 4K from Elgato Systems. With its HDMI input, this capture device will accept resolutions up to 3840 x 2160 at 30p. If you need to stream or record at a lower resolution, the Cam Link 4K can also work at 1080p, 1080i, and 720p.
The Cam Link 4K utilizes a plug-and-play design with its USB Type-A connector and HDMI port. Moreover, it is compatible with Windows and Mac computers. Elgato includes a USB 3.1 Gen 1 extension cable, so you can connect to devices from a distance.

I use the Camlink together with my Sony A6000, which is an amazing combo. I love how easy it is to setup and how smoothly it runs. Love the design and how tiny it is! My cam-quality on stream was greatly improved when I made this upgrade. Definitely recommended if you want to step up the quality of your stream

I bought this for my BMPCC 6K Pro and it’s literally plug-and-play. You couldn’t ask for it to be any easier. Even though Zoho software wasn’t listed as a confirmed application that it works with, I was able to run my camera on Zoho ShowTime using this.

I recently upgraded from my webcam (4K logitech) with a Sony A6000 and got the cam link 4K with it. One of the best purchases I ever made. The shear crispness of the image that translates so easily with just a plug and play is great for a content creators everyday life. Definitely recommend it if you want to upgrade your recordings/streaming/content creation. Elgato always has a way to make things easy and efficient. Can’t wait for more products.

I bought one as a Christmas gift to myself — received it on the 22nd of December. This was working great until the day of a show a week later, when it died abruptly while streaming. Now when I plug it in it simply blinks a few times before powering off, and judging from reviews online many people have this same issue with this product, with answers given by Elgato seeming not to work. I enjoyed using this, but I have to say that a week-long lifespan that seems to be borne out by others’ experiences is worrisome.

This is honestly the easiest to use capture card made by Elgato, and that’s because you can just carry it in your camera bag, plug it in, and use it in ANY program that uses webcam input. It just works. The only thing to pay attention to is that you don’t have too many USB video devices on the same USB controller as you can saturate it and could wind up with video issues. This will not be an issue for most people. Note: I am an Elgato Partner but I bought my Cam Link with my own money. My opinions on this product are honest and my own. I only endorse products I actually approve of and that I would (or did) spend my own money on

Just plug your HDMI cable into the Cam Link and plug the Cam Link into the USB port of your computer. One of the best purchases I have made. Excellent quality product can’t beat the price. James

I’ve used this cam link 4K and it died after a couple of months. It blinks 3x every time I connect but it stops working after that.

I recently purchased this to replace my 4K Logitech webcam after buying a Panasonic GH5. Although the initial setup took a bit of fiddling around by unplugging and replugging the cam link in a few times, once set up the experience has been perfect. The video signal is fantastic and I’ve had no issues with reliability. The video is way nicer than the webcam, especially in low light conditions. If you have a compatible DSLR laying around you should definitely get this.
