By far the best dehydrator you can get on the market for under $200. Plenty of rack space and it works to perfection. We love our dried fruits and using this dehydrator saves us a ton of money vs buying from the grocery store. I’ve also done beef jerky on it and it came out great.

This is a pretty good food dehydrator. I got it to (mainly) dry herbs, make jerky, and dry fruits for storage. I haven’t been able to try the fruits yet because it’s not quite the season but I did have a chance to dry some oregano and make some salmon jerky. In operation it worked fine but the oregano took about 4 times as long as the manual indicated it would. I did dry with the leaves still on the stalks but it still took much longer than I expected. The jerky came out great and took about what the manual indicated, although on the high side of the range.Construction is generally good although the door feels like you wouldn’t want to bump it too hard when it’s open. The window in the front is very nice. The shelves are a woven stainless steel which are not as sticky as you would think and clean up quickly. It would be nice if additional non-stick mats were included (there’s only one for “fruit leather”) additional mats would greatly improve the usability. Who dries one shelf of anything. The big downsides are the fact that the trays have to be loaded outside of the dehydrator and then slide into place. This makes for more of a mess when dealing with something messy like jerky. It would also be nice to have a place to store the cord when not in use. Most of all the temperature selection makes no sense at all. The range is 95F – 160F but it doesn’t go up and down in any rational way. Mostly the jumps are by 15 degrees except where they have a 10 degree jump from 95 – 105. It’s just weird and makes it impossible to hit the middle range of recommended temperatures for many of the items in the instructions.

I love this food dehydrator. I want to put everything inside of it. Even foods I don’t think are supposed to be dehydrated, I just want to see what comes out. I have been pleasantly surprised so many times at the taste and texture of my dehydrated foods that I have so far been using it multiple times a week. I already know I’m going to save money on fruits alone, but in the mean time I’m going to go put some salmon in and see what happens!

This dehydrator is very nice, love that it’s very compact, love that it’s quick and no sound, turns off when it’s done, dehydrates food very well, has very heavy duty metal racks, very easy to clean, easy to put together, love the window, easy to clean.

User manual is great, tips on how to dehydrate are spot on and well written. Instructions on how to use the dehydrator are great too. The controls are totally user friendly. Really nothing to put together, slide trays in and you are ready to go. Manual suggest you wipe down dehydrator and turn on for 30 minutes to make sure you get rid of the new smell, which I did and that worked. Really wasn’t a strong smell to start with.Next I got started with my first project – drying fruits. I used plums, nectarines, and Kiwi, turned out perfect. Cleanup was a snap, just wash, rinse and dried the wire trays. My next project is going to be drying tomatoes…just waiting for them in my garden. It’s great drying your own fruit, no chemical preservatives. I used fresh orange and pineapple juice as my preservative, going to try honey and salt next time. Love experimenting with flavors and textures.

This is an incredible product. It performs as well as the $500 Excalibur at a fraction of the cost. It dehydrates so quickly and evenly. And all without having to rotate the trays. I am so pleased and will tell all my friends to purchase this if they are in need of a dehydrator.

I have seen and used several dehydrators in the past but this is the first one I own. It looks great, sleek and modern and extremely light. It is quiet and I love that it has the large window on the front. The metal trays are nice and sturdy (although get really hot). so far I have dehydrated fruit and made fruit leather, bot came out great!

I have never owned a Dehydrator before so this was all new to me. I have been wanting one forever. So I couldn’t wait to give this a try. We have done a bunch of different fruits and they have all come amazing. I can’t wait to make some jerky with it. I love how it is programmable, because I can set it and forget it. And The stainless steel trays make clean up a breeze. The directions that come with it are very simple to understand. I highly recommend this product to anyone looking.

This dehydrator is a good value so far. I have only had it for a couple of weeks but it’s working just as I expected. It’s pretty quite while running, and “cooks” everything thoroughly from top to bottom and front to back. No rotating trays necessary! The surface area for drying is really good considering that the machine fits on the counter. The spacing between the trays has also worked well for everything I have wanted to dry- like kale chips which take up some vertical height on the tray, but it all fit!

I have been wanting a dehydrator for a while and have been doing a lot of research on which one would be the best one. I came across the Elite Platinum 6 Stainless Steal Tray Programmable Snack Maker Food Dehydrator and decided it was “the one”. I love that the trays are stainless steel, because they are easier to clean up than plastic, and they last longer. The first thing I chose to dehydrate was fruit, because I was wanting some healthy snacks. It did take quite a while to get them completely dried out, but beings that it was my first time using it, I could have done it wrong, or due to the water content in fruit, it was the right timing. I did some Mango’s, Strawberries and Peaches, because that’s what I had on hand. They turned out amazing and still tasted like real fruit. My next plan is to make some jerky because we usually put it on the smoker and do it that way. The dehydrator isn’t loud, and although it did take up quite a bit of room on my kitchen counter, it was worth it because I wasn’t spending money at the store for dried fruit. I love that it has automatic shut off, because I don’t have to stick around the house while it’s running to make sure I get it shut off when it’s done. I can put it in when I go to work, and by the time I get home in the evening it’s done! If you’re wanting a good dehydrator, don’t waste any more time, get to the store and buy this!!!

My wife always wanted to try a food dehydrator and see if it was worth the effort so we started with apples, pears, strawberries, bananas and pineapples. The process took eight hours and we cut the fruit according to the instructions. The fruit was delicious and a little chewy so we put it in the fridge over night and I have to say that the pineapple had the most flavor and the banana was second. The machine was a little tricky to use but we figured it out pretty quickly and all you can hear is a small hum from the fan and it does throw off a little heat. The size is on the larger end but it is very light to move. I am going to try meat next which will take another eight hours but I’m sure it will be worth the wait.
