I purchased this contour gauge for a flooring project. It worked really good for the curves that I needed to cut. My only issue was the flex was tight and the middle bar moves around a bit more than I would like. I would how ever recommend this tool, especially for the price.

Nice gauge. But then again, there’s not much to getting this tool right, right?

Heavy and very sharp points. Keep away from little children.

Works for my purpose (cutting tile to fit around a window sill). The metal is tight but that’s what you want so it’ll hold form. The price is great considering it was less than the plastic one I found in the tile section. Metal probably lasts longer so I got this one.

This is ready to use without any hassle. I used it to create a compound miter measurement with a slope involved. The project came out perfectly.

Well built tool. Pins are a little stiff, but hold the shape very well. Used it for shaping around some 5 inch base molding. Worked well.

This gauge worked great for when I recently installed flooring. I used it to match the shape around door framing and I was easily able to match the shape of whatever I was doing

This is something I have wanted for years. I am not good at judging cuts at all. My husband was the carpenter and he always took care of that type of work. Since he isn’t around anymore to help me, I resorted to the gauge. Easy to use and saves a lot of wood.

The gauge works well but it would be better if it were 8 or 10 inches instead of 6.

Very easy to use, and very accurate. I would recommend it for sure.

I bought this to use in a repair of my 7.5” baseboard molding. Rather than replace a full section, I used the Empire 6 Inch Contour Gauge to create a squeegee with the same profile and make the repair. Absolutely outstanding. Worth every penny!

Well made, functions easily, + works!

larger would be better and more resistance so shape retains with slight bumps.

I love this tool ! I was able to make my floors look like a professional installed them.

Easy to use, holds contour nicely. Sometimes a pane to square back up but all in all a nice tool

We felt you needed to have the grill as well as the griddle…and it turns out it was a smart purchase..We use the center grill as much as the griddle. It comes in very handy with large pot meals , like lobster boils, brewing beer or making tamales.

Worked perfectly to determine contour of floor trim moulding. Pins are very narrow which allows for very accurate messurement.

I have wanted one of these since I laid the tile squares in my father’s house. He laid out a line to keep me on the square and let me lay the tile. I had problems with the door ways because some wouldn’t slide under the door frames and had to call him from the work he was doing to help me.If I had one of these, I wouldn’t have had to call him away from his work. It is so easy to slide this up to the area you need to fit and then lay it on the piece to be fitted, mark it and cut it. If you need to mark on bottom side turn both the piece and the contour gauge over then mark.

Item is pretty good for small contours but it is a bit tricky to transfer it to a piece of wood. The fine rods bend as you trace the pattern. You have use a very light pressure to do it.
