The 500 Series I-Beam Level offers superior performance with an accuracy of 0.0005 in. per in. in all working positions. The all metal, I-Beam frame construction guarantees long-life and is equipped with impact-resistant end caps to withstand the harshest jobsite conditions. The high-strength continuous magnetic edge provides users maximum holding power when measuring door frames, steel studs, ferrous pipe and other common metal-working applications. The EMPIRE True Blue Laser Etched 7 in. Rafter Square features permanent laser markings for superior readability in any light condition. SCRIBE-GUIDE precision scribe notches allow users to easily mark parallel lines on lumber. The rafter layout square is made from a durable anodized aluminum that is more durable than die cast and will not rust or corrode after exposure to the harsh job site elements. The Empire rafter square features conversion tables for common applications. The square features an increased heel width that is up to 15% wider than leading competitors giving users increased stability on all job site material. The Empire 9 in. Torpedo Level features durable acrylic vials to help provide plumb, level and 45 level readings with an accuracy of up to 0.001 in. The top-read window helps make it easy to read the vial from over the level. The solid aluminum level frame provides durability and the magnetic edge allows for hands- free work.

The Empire 48 IN Aluminum Magnetic I-Beam Level is fantastic! I’ve owned several magnetic levels in the past where the actual magnet wasn’t strong enough to hold the level on a magnetic surface. Not this one! The magnetic strip is the full length of the level. It makes is very simple to adhere to the surface without spending time fussing with it to get it to stick and giving you more time to actually do work. The ends of the level are plastic which is nice so you don’t damage the surface you are leveling and also protect it from falls or drops. Best of all it’s made in the USA!

This 48 inch level far exceeded my expectations when I first picked it up!!! It has a very durable feel to it; unlike some of the other levels I’ve looked at in the same price range. I am very impressed that it was constructed with shock absorbers on the ends for drop protection, I have seen more expensive ones that didn’t have them. I have used it for installing more track storage systems in our garage, and I’m looking forward to using it a lot for the reconstruction of our home office. I like that it is magnetic usage also, which will come in handy with some of the other projects we have in mind. It comes with a lifetime warranty too. I do a lot of crafting and I found using the straight-edge for scoring lines with my razor blade easier. The vials on the level seemed to have a well thought out construction to them compared to most levels. It is a great buy and really happy with everything this level offers!!!

Light weight for it’s size. Great for a straight line for cutting a 4×8 sheet of plywood on the 4ft side. Don’t have to use a snap chalk line that sometimes waivers. Will level a post or a stud with either end up. The absolute truth of things is, the longer the level the better you can level larger things like a floor if you are leveling a travel trailer.

The 48 IN. ALUMINUM MAGNETIC I-BEAM LEVEL is great level. I used it on wood, pavement and metal. It is easy to read and accurate. I used the 4 foot magnetic level to help level my travel trailer. The 4 foot size is perfect for this type of work. I really like the magnetic feature to helps when working with anything metal or where I need some stability. The level is sturdy and easy to handle.

This is on the level. The magnetic 48” level is sturdy construction with plastic ends to absorb the shock and protect the ends if you happen to drop it. With plastic grips in the center, it has a solid feel to it yet is still light enough to easily carry around. It has a viewport in the top so you can see the center bubble from above. The magnetic strip runs the entire length of the bottom and is strong enough to hold against a solid metal surface. Nice level.

A very nice level that is light weight, and comfortable to hold and use. The level vials are nicely contrasted and that makes reading easy. It is magnetic which helps with metal studs, running pipe, and storing. There is also a nice slot for hanging when not in use. The ends are protected by rubber so as not to damage the level when dropped. The blue color makes it easy to spot the level in the work area. The best part is the accuracy. I checked it against a machinists level and it was right on.

This is the first 48 in. level that I have ever owned and I am really happy with it. I tested it for accuracy and it was right on. I find the magnetic strip on the side to be extremely helpful when leveling appliances. I can just put the level on the side of the appliance, make an adjustment, and then quickly check my work without having to handle the level after each adjustment.I also use it as a guide when making long cuts with my circular saw and also for a guide for my router. I know because of the I-Beam construction it will not flex like some edge guides that I have used.
