I love empire tools they are always made to great quality standards and don’t break like many of the cheaper tool brands. This closed 100ft tape measure is a great size and weight for someone who uses it all day and wants to keep it in there tool pouch. It rolls up pretty quick for the size of the handle it has. The tape is a good thickness and is easy to read. The bad is there is no way you can unroll the tape measure with out it slapping your hand the entire time. The handle will not lock out of the way during the extraction of the tape which is why I can’t give it 5 stars. If you leave it clipped on your belt or apron and keep you hands off it it unrolls great.

This 100 foot tape measure has a number of good features which make it easy to use:- indents in the base for a good grip (see picture)- indent in the outer case for the end of the crank (see picture)- blade hook on the end of the tape for one person use (tape hooks on anything)- belt clip so you can have your hands free (see picture)- good legibility of markings on the tape (see picture)This tape measure really works out well for most any measuring in the yard or in other locations. I highly recommend it due to all the features it has.

This 100 foot steel tape measure is a quality product. The case is solid and has not shown any damage from being dropped. The tape is wide enough to easily read the numbers and should last a long time. The numbers are put on the steel tape in a way that makes me think they will last a while. The reel handle is well made and not a flimsy design. I have been happy with the tape in the projects that have have used it and it is small enough to fit in my toolbox. Nicely made.

This 100 foot Steel Tape is perfectly built for its purpose. Easy to use and very sturdy! We’re in the process of building a new backyard chill spot and we used this tape to help plot the distance between the stakes. It’s hard to go on and on about such a simple device. It’s a uni-tasker that does its job every time without fail. Quality design, parts and construction.

Most times a regular tape measure will do until you work on a large project. We got a new puppy and I had to quickly add some fencing to keep her safe. Being able to do one long measurement and mark the location of the fence poles in one pass with no compounding error from resetting a small tape is awesome. All of the posts were where I wanted them and I was able to do it without assistance since my wife was occupied with the new addition. The tape is easy to read and retracts fairly quickly for the length, well worth having in my tool box.

This is a ⅜” wide steel tape measure for long distances. It is graduated by feet then inches like 50 ft 4”. The feet markers are red, and the inch markers are black. It unrolls smoothly. The roll up handle is large and easy to operate. The hook connection on the end is a good one so one person can make measurements by attaching the hook to a wall corner or baseboard. The hook stays put well. The plastic molded case is durable and fairly easy to hold. On this one, the roll handle extends past the edge of the molded casing. This results in the end of the handle hitting your hand while you are unrolling it, so you must carefully angle the handle to avoid it hitting your hand.

Perfect size tape. The casing is compact for a 100ft tape. It fits good into your hand and is easily handled with one hand. They designed the case with finger imprints that help you have a firm grip on the tape while using it. The casing is solid and the unit is medium in weight. The tape pulls out very easy. The unit is not spring loaded which I am glad because most spring-loaded units are easily affected by water or have a tendency to break down quickly, instead it is reeled in with a handle. Reeling the tape back in is smooth and easy. The tape is metal but not so stiff that it’s hard to handle. This is a good buy.

This is a nice tape when you have something to measure over 10-50 feet. It has nice big numbers and very readable when taking a floor reading and the tape is laying on the floor. It is flexible yet rigid enough to span a longer distance before bending while unsupported in the air. The end piece holds well against boards when extending the tape and has not slipped off on me yet. It retracts easily and extends easily, and the clip holds it on my work pouch very tight. It’s a good size yet not over bearing to carry.

This is just the thing you need to mark out a baseball field, measure a building site, or plot a garden. The tape is steel but rather flexible, and will tolerate some gentle curves. The reel handle conveniently flips into a recess on the body of the tool, which makes it more compact for storage and also allows you to lock the tape in place. The action of the reel is relatively smooth, allowing you to quickly spool the tape back into the tool.

This tape measure comes solidly packaged. It extends very easily and has grab hooks on the end to anchor the tape in place to measure long distances by yourself. It has finger impressions on the bottom to help hold onto it and also a belt clip. It is easily retractable with the large crank handle that folds back uniformly to the tape case. Great for plotting larger projects such as a garden or installing a fence of can be used indoors measuring for carpets or flooring.
