Empire e105.48H Digital Box LevelThis is a very nice and well made level. A lot more level than I ever used. It has 7 measuring modes and it is IP65-rated for dust/water-proofing. The shock absorbing end caps protect the ends of the level from damage and the caps can be removed if needed. There is a really nice large handle built in (perfect for hanging from a wall hook). The huge dual electronic lighted displays on the side and edge are super convenient and easy to read. The display readout can be inverted for overhead measuring. The level has slope info built in as one of the measurement options, making it nice for setting drainage measurements. There is also a hold button to lock in a measurement if needed. I have used this level a lot in my workshop as a straight edge and recently to hand a door. I found the dual digital display very convenient and easy to read even as daylight faded. Wish I purchased this level years ago. I am finding that this level has become my go to level.I would definatly reccommend this level to other contractors, construction workers and serious DIY’ers. The only thing I have found that I wish Empire did different is the way the battery door is secured. I like that the level takes regular AA alkaline batteries, I just wish the battery door did not take a screw driver to open. I always remove the batteries from a tool that is put away to avoid battery leakage that will ruin an expensive tool. A clip or thumb screw or something like that would be better for me.

The extra cost to get the digital feature was well worth the money. I am installing cabinets and the extra accuracy will ensure a flat surface for the quarts counter tops.

Used levels of all sizes and shapes for 50+ years. Concrete, framing, doors, and mill work install. Bob’s, water, lazer, and line. Where was this when I really needed it. Hope it lasts. Very happy with it, no guessing about the end results. Just wish the vials would light up.

Very high quality, only thing I wish was different is that there is 2 different models of the true blue digital 4ft level one with magnets and this one without. The other model on the site doesn’t come with a case while this one does. It was very important for me to have a case because of the environment I work in full time, a metal shop as a welder. Other than that no complaints!

I put this level to the test when I built a fence in my backyard and the level is very precise. I put up my fence in the rain and the level was still easy to read with its display. The accuracy was spot on when leveling the fence poles. Instead of relying on my eye on the bubble I could also look at the read out display. The only thing I worry about is if I bump the digital display will the screen easily break? The bag the level came with is low quality. Its more of a burden to put the level in the bag.

Smart level is easy to use. Top and side LCD screen makes it easy to read no matter the viewing angle. Best smart level for the money.

We are so incredibly happy with this level! It is nice and long for jobs that require a longer reach and very easy to use. Pretty self explanatory – place the level against the object that you would like to measure and wait adjust level and item until the level beeps because the item is balanced. Works horizontally or vertically. It also comes with a carrying case to keep it relatively clean when not in use. OF course, for us – this means that the case gets used for approximately the first 2 weeks, than lost in the garage as the level actually gets used.

This is an incredibly nice 4 foot aluminum level. It makes me want to go out and but an F150 and get a contractor’s license. The level has 7 measuring modes: 4 precision; 4 rough-in. It is IP65-rated for dust/water-proofing. This one is non-magnetic but there is a magnetic version should you desire one. The end caps can be removed if needed. There is a really nice handle built in- perfect for hanging from a pegboard hook. The huge electronic display is doubled on the short edge, making it a dual-display and super-convenient. I will use this a lot as a straight edge and it will work really well as such. For contractors it has slope info built in as one of the measurement options. I am extremely excited to begin using this. The manufacturer’s website is awesome and has a link to the user manual as a PDF: http://www.empirelevel.com/digital-levels.php.

I had no idea I needed a digital level until I checked this one out. I have had neck surgery and have limited mobility. In addition I wear bifocals, further limiting my ability to view the bubble when using the level over my head. The audible queues provided by the True Blue digital level solves the mobility and vision issues, easing neck pain and making the leveling chore WAY easier. The end bumpers will mitigate the problem of trashing the bubble when inadvertently dropped (the reason my old level is no longer in service)

This is a wonderful, very accurate and easy to use level. It is great for any small to large job and completely accurate in-fact much better than any level I have used in the past. The light up function is great for utilizing in not well lighted areas or job sites. I definitely wish I would have gotten this long-before now. It makes the job so much easier and the accuracy of the level is far superior than ones that you just rely on the bubble being in the middle versus having the accuracy of the digital readout showing you that you are off even just a mere fraction.

I had tried the digital levels when they first came out thinking they could make the jobs more accurate, at least, if not easier to set-up and complete. The old level controls were clumsy and a bit too much information to get the job completed quickly and accurately. WELL EMPIRE HAS CHANGED THE GAME. This level not only gives you the information but it does it intuitively in a manner even the newest framer or DIY’er can understand and make adjustments without a trial and error method that is frustrating for old timers to watch let alone participate in. Yes Empire has found just the right amount of technology for us old tmers and enough that a newby can understand and adapt to.

When it absolutely has to be level or plum Clear display and audible takes the quess work out of centering the bubble.

I’ve always wanted a digital level and this one is great. Right out of the package I could tell it was a quality, solid level. For less exacting work it has all the usual bubble levels. The digital feature is great. There are readouts on the side and top (see photo) which comes in handy when I’m working close to the floor or ceiling. Another great feature is that the digital readout gives you arrows to let you know which end needs to be raised or lowered (see photo). This particularly helps when I get close to level as well as the beeping that lets me know when I’m getting close to level (intermittent beeping) and when I’m perfectly level (constant tone). The backlight also comes in handy when working in dim areas. This is an all around great level. A great investment.

48” TRUE BLUE lives up to its name! This level comes from the factory preset to zero. It can be reset by the user if the situation warrants. Having the positive and negative measurements helps with right/left adjustments. Its sides have a “serrated” or rough edge to prevent sliding on smooth surfaces. Tough construction lets it take a beating on the jobsite!

This is the Empire 48” Digital Level (model e105.48H). It has a host of features that make this one cool level. First off it auto-calibrates, so when you turn it on, it’s ready to use. Then you have seven different modes to choose from, depending on your task. For example, if you’re building a wall and needs studs to be plumb, but not to 1/100th of a degree, the Rough-in mode is probably good enough. Other modes give one or two decimal accuracy in degrees, inches or mm.The level has an “audio level” mode where, as you approach level or plumb, a tone sounds intermittently, and then changes to a solid tone (and a higher pitch) when you reach level (or plumb). I found the tone quite high in pitch, which means it’s a very directional sound. I don’t know if it’s because I wear hearing aids or not, but as I moved my head, the tone would come and go (especially the final tone), making it very difficult to use this feature—I think Empire should lower the frequency considerably to make this a more useful feature for us old guys (I didn’t take any stars off for this—it’s probably a personal issue). The level also has two digital displays, so you can view the readings from the side as well as the top, or what you may consider the bottom if you’re holding the level over your head. This was particularly convenient when checking floors for level. The backlight for the display is extremely helpful and can be turned on and off, as desired. My particular level does not have the magnets in the base—if you want magnets, get model eM105-48, which, as of this writing, is the same price as the one without magnets.I checked the level’s accuracy with a digital angle finder I have, and the Empire level was dead on. Overall, I found the level is easy to use. It comes with a lifetime warranty on the frame and vials, and a 1 year warranty on the electronics.
