The e75 box level also equipped with rubber shock-resistant endcaps that are tool-free removable to enhance scribing performance into corners. Magnetic models boast high-strength rare earth magnets for superior holding power when working with door frames, steel studs, ferrous pipe and other common metal-working applications. Designed to fit easily in your toolbox and handle almost any leveling need, the Empire 12 in. True Blue Magnetic Tool Box Level features a Vari-Pitch vial that reads slope or pitch in inches per foot. This makes it ideal for setting up a grade or measuring a slope.

I have had a small 5 or 6″ torpedo level for yrs., that has severed me well. But it has seen better days. I mean it still functions, so I gave it away to a friend. I got this new Empire cause it is a 12″ and it’s a little easier to read (my old eyes) and a magnetic strip along r he bottom, if I need to use it on pipes. The old torpedo was all plastic & had some cuts & nicks. This new Empire seems to be both plastic & metal.

Have a 9″ and 24″ regular levels. At 12″ I find it more accurate over the 3″ shorter 9″. So handy being magnetic and love the roof pitch bubble. Neat idea. Love it!

Thats exactly why I purchased this level….for my tool box. Its larger than the usual torpedo levels, is magnetic and being somewhat longer is more useful(read higher level of accuracy….no pun intended)For most occasions I use this level now but still carry my torpedo level where this one is just too long…
