The 8 foot level was exactly what I needed.

You can see some machining marks on the surface but it should be ok to use. I have 2ft, 4ft, 6ft levels so this one make my collection more complete.

Very pleased with the level.
Ansel Larson (verified owner) –
Worked great for what we needed it for, overall great product

Well, it seems like a nice level so far. No complaints. I wanted an 8’ level so I bit the bullet and dropped a $100. Too bad Harbor Freight didn’t have them; Cause by looking at the prices of their 48” and 72” I probably could have gotten it for half the price. Cheers

You don’t often need an eight foot level, but when you do this one will fit the bill nicely. It’s light but well built, accurate, and easy to read. All of that for a very reasonable price (less than half the top of the line models!)Honestly I reach for this level most frequently when I need a long flat reference surface. It makes quick work of checking for bowed studs, low spots on floors that need to be leveled, or any sagging spans. This is where the light weight really pays off since an eight foot level can be quite awkward to use.I checked the vials for accuracy and they were spot on. In the attached pictures you can see results of my comparing the vial readings after flipping it to be sure everything is parallel and accurate. There’s nothing I’d add to this particular level at this price point. You can get a much heavier duty level if you expect to be hard on them (something like the Stabila R-beam) but it would come at triple the cost and more than double the weight. For most uses this is a great option.

This level is very accurate. I used it to set two dams in doorways for containing the self leveling floor compound on our washroom floor. It worked great.

LOVE THE 8 FOOT LENGHT, WISH IT HAD MAGNETIC INSERTS LIKE THE 2 FOOT DOES.
Brody Lakin (verified owner) –
It does the job. Wish the bubble would be a bit easier to read.

The EMPIRE 96 in. box level is awesome.. Empire levels are some of the best levels out there. Great quality at a great price. I have six or seven levels at different lengths for various jobs. This is my first eight foot level. I will use it to level cement forms and as a straight edge.I like the end caps that are easy to remove and install. The vials are easy to see and read. The.0005 in.accuracy is great.

So Far So good.

Ridiculously long level is difficult to store, but it serves its purpose well. Great deal as it came with a “free” 9” level that has an LED light.
Michael Wolff (verified owner) –
Seems accurate and straight so far. Well made. Have had good luck with Empire products lately except for little combination square, which does not hold ruler square.

Great level We used it to make a huge ceiling repair level and even

Works very well

It’s long, hard to handle, and it’s sheer size makes this a ridiculous tool for a homeowner to procure (but I love it). It doesn’t have a 45 degree bubble, but I doubt that you’ll miss that feature. Made and assembled in China (except for the bubble vials, which are made in USA).

It will be nice if it have magnet on side.
Oswald Kuhic (verified owner) –
Edges are flat and straight. Bubbles are accurate.

Its a great 8 level.
