Wish I would have bought this years ago. Picked it up to make rip cuts on drywall, but it’s actually useful for any other cutting jobs, as well as any other straight edge jobs. Super light weight, and breaks down to two 48″ pieces for easier transport and storage. If you’re considering a track saw, a more expensive cutting guide, or building a rip guide out of plywood, I’d try this first. My only complaint is that the clamps are old school screw type, which are slow. I tossed them aside after a few cuts and used locking quick clamps.

I’ve used this kind of guide before and was Leary about the vast difference in their reasonable price, but for that price I had little to lose. My main concern was would the connector be designed properly so as to maintain straightness and make a perfect cut, and it does. So I would highly recommend this affordable tool.

I am not a professional and could never able to make straight cut on plywood or hardwood. Thanks to this Guide. I made shelf using hardwood and used this guide to make straight cut using circular saw. This guide is very easy to use. The handle bar helps to provide more support. Heavy duty material.

This straight edge had NO, repeat NO instructions as to how to put it together. I didn’t know there even were any screws in the bag with the c-clamps, I almost lost one of them. The item works well however. It’s just very rare to see no instructions at all for us unskilled people.

There were no instructions with the product so we have to figure out how to put it together by trial and error.

longer is better than shorter. The included clamps are nice

Does what its supposed to do

works just as advertised. makes long straight cuts cuts much easier, especially when you are cutting at an angle. clamps hold the track well

I recommend this if you understand the limitations of the product. Used at full length, it WILL bow in the middle and you won’t get a straight cut. You must support the center of the guide with a piece of wood clamped across the board you’re cutting (see a previous review for guidance) to stop the guide flexing as you cut. Also, the screws that hold the two guides together are flimsy and can easily come loose. You’ll need to double check them every so often. It takes some time to use the guide so it works for you, as is reflected in the $20 price tag. You can use this to get a good cut, but it requires more than just a couple of clamps on the end. If you want a “set and forget” cutting guide for a full sheet, you’ll need to pay more.

Nothing negative so far. pretty self explanatory to use, and easy to set up on the drywall/plywood. I use it with both my circular saw and my jigsaw. I have even used it to slice a clean line with my box cutter.

Needed something to trim doors after new carpet was installed. This guides the saw nicely. I put rubber sill sealing tape on the bottom as to not mar the door finish. I also used rubber spring clamps Instead of the c-clamps to secure the cutting guide.

Easy to use. Cuts a whole 8ft. Length sheet.

It’s okay. Has some wiggle in the middle but it’s okay.

I’m only using this thing cause i got better stuff to spend my cash on atm than a track saw. i will eventually get a track saw & thats when this thing will become obsolete.

Great for cutting full plywood sheets into sections for tablesaw final cuts.

Haven’t used it yet, but it appears to do what it was designed for

Works well for up to 48”. Flexes too much for longer cuts when both pieces are joined together.
