This laser level is versatile and accurate. Runs on 4 AAA batteries and comes in a nice protective case. Batteries have a storage location in the case and should be stored when level isn’t being used for long periods of time. It has a 1/4″-20 bolt on the bottom mounting arm so it can be mounted onto a tripod. There are also 2 magnets on the arm so it can be attached to a metal object like a metal stud during construction. The level can be turned on and it will either self-level or maintain the angle you set. That could be helpful if you need to install items at a slope (drain pipe). Good instructions and calibration procedures are included. Mine seemed to be calibrated well right out of the box. I’m not sure how far the laser projects, but seems to be a long way. It works best inside, but it can be used outside. However, it may not be visible in bright sunlight.

This was ordered online and shipped to my home without issue. This is a pretty neat laser level that is bright enough for use in light areas. This laser is mounted on a self leveling pendulum that will find it’s true level. This laser is also capable of recognizing when the laser light is out of level by more than 4 degree and it will flash to let you know that it is not level. To use all you need to do is open the case, insert the 4 included AA batteries and set the laser down and turn on the the unlocked position. this will allow the pendulum to find true level. This laser is also mounted to base that swivels and can be mounted to a tripod via a mounting screw hole on the base plate. It is the same screw hole size as used for camera tripods. There is also 2 magnets on the back of the swivel bracket, and a key hole slot for wall mounting if needed. You also have the ability to lock the laser in position but I wasn’t able to find the purpose of this as once you find the level of the laser and then try to lock it into position, the pendulum shifts and the laser is no longer level. The laser itself has a pretty wide arc to capture large project areas, up to 75ft.All in all this is a great product that I would highly recommend.

Before this unit I had no experience with laser levels. The Empire level is very powerful and has a surprising mix of functions and features. It is very easy to setup and even works on an old camera tripod, though i would recommend a more durable tripod for regular use on a jobsite. The self leveling feature works like magic and the projected cross-hair is quite visible from one end of my house to the other. The calibration protocol in the user guide was not possible for me because I don’t have an interior space that is 66 feet long. I think that before long I will think of this as an indispensable tool.

I really enjoy using my Cross Line Laser. Having a green colored laser is twice as bright and easier to pick up then previous lasers that were red colored. I have used this 75 foot self-leveling laser on several projects around the house in addition to some commercial work. While checking some tile work the locking pendulum feature sure came in handy. This line laser is built to last. I dropped it several times the other day and left it on over night. Guess what it still works like new. The rare earth magnets is a nice feature I hope to utilize in the future.

Empire 75 ft. Green Self-Leveling Cross Line Laser Level: I chose this compact self-leveling Cross Line Laser Level for its variety of layout capabilities. It has a locking pendulum and hard molded housing that protects it if dropped, and will maintain its calibration without needing to re-calibrate. This Cross Line Level is perfect for the ultimate in accuracy, consistency, and convenience, a self-leveling laser level can make all the difference. This is a perfect level for projects as various as installing electrical outlets, hanging pictures, and building a deck. The Laser level projects a beam of light across a room or job site to provide a detailed point of reference. This is the next generation of leveling technology. One of the most useful aspects of this laser level is that it allows you to work essentially hands-free. Once set up, it is designed to be left alone while you complete the project. This level is powered by 4 AA Alkaline batteries giving users up to 15-hours plus of continuous runtime.

The tool is well built and will not experience damage with a 3 foot fall. Mine fell as my inexpensive tripod toppled. The process of checking for accuracy is described in the user manual. After the tool dropped I set it 33 feet from a solid object. I checked the level from end to end of the 33 feet and it was within 1/4′ inch. (see photo). I used this level to check a dropped ceiling in my basement to make sure it was level and to know where to adjust it. Notice in the photo the solid easy-to-see green laser line. The process with other levels would be more time consuming and difficult. I also used this level to assist in installing drywall in my garage. I could mark the location of the studs right at the base and use the cross-laser level to show the plumb lines. No need for a chalk line! (see photo).

High visibility green cross line laser level powered by 4 AA batteries with up to 15 hours run time and 75 ft range. Accurate to +/-0.25″ @ 33 ft, less precise than more expensive products but adequate for many jobs. Self-leveling to +/-4°.Built for use on the job site with 1 meter drop protection. Intrusion protection rating = IP54, resistant to dust intrusion and water splashing. Locking pendulum for protection and non-level aiming. Attachment options are a tripod socket and magnets. A practical choice to get the job done when you need quick leveling or plumb alignment but not necessarily the micro-adjustment and accuracy of more expensive laser levels. One-year warranty. Made in China.

This Empire laser level is a perfect size for carrying around. It is approximately 5 in long x 4 in tall 2 1/4 wide , it is pre-mounted on a base that can swivel 360°. The base has two strong magnets on the backside for attaching to metal surfaces . Also has a threaded fitting on the bottom for a tripod. The laser itself has a switch on the side that turns it off, on locking position, and on again that lets the pendulum swing free for leveling. Comes with a blue molded case that fits quite nicely, it has actual hinges and a metal clasp that holds the top lid to the base and is even molded to hold four AA batteries which are included. The case measures approximately 6 wide, 8 in long and approximately 4 in tall, has the Empire name embossed on the top in white letters. Empire which was acquired by Milwaukee tools which has a great reputation. When turning it on the bright green lines will help the Craftsman or hobbyist to be able to see to perform different tasks from leveling to projecting lines that could be locked to transfer lines across the wall for layout. The green line is very bright about a 1/8 (one eighth) thick at 30 ft. When in the lock position with the laser on it will blink momentarily to let you know that it is not in the level position. You will need to throw the switch to level to allow the pendulum to swing free. As I always say when you purchase tools and items at home Depot you have 90 days to return giving the consumer enough time to decide if this is right for them.
