Compact, wireless, and designed for high resolution photos, Epson’s PictureMate PM-400 Personal Photo Lab uses MicroPiezo inkjet technology to create detailed prints at 5760 x 1440 dpi at up to 5 x 7″, ideal for your snapshots and family pictures. It works with 3.5 x 5″, 4 x 6″, and 5 x 7″ paper, as well as No. 10 envelopes, for producing your most common and convenient photo sizes. Also, it is capable of producing a 4 x 6″ photo in about 36 seconds.
On top of all this, it offers borderless printing, Auto Photo Correction, and thanks to a 2.7″ LCD and SD card slot it can function without a computer. Mobile printing is an option with Wi-Fi Direct and this works with a wide variety of different protocols, including Apple AirPrint and Google Cloud Print.
The PM-400 can hold up to 50 sheets of plain paper for documents or 20 sheets of thicker glossy photo paper. There is also an option for single sheets up to 23.6 mil for more specialized media. Additionally, for connection you can either plug in using a USB 2.0 cable or connect the printer to the network using Wi-Fi.

This fast, compact printer makes easy work of printing family memories. The prints are high quality with great colors. It is easy to setup printing via WiFi and I use it both from Photoshop and my iPhone. This printer is extremely convenient. It eliminates the hassle of having to change out the paper on the desktop printer just to print a few photos. You can leave this loaded up with photo paper and you’re good to go printing from a whim. I’m already printing a lot more than I was before.

I print out 5 x 7 photos from my select folders so I can evaluate them. I also print 4×6 or 5×7 photos to give to the people who are the subject of my photo project. This little printer is exceptional – quality is amazing. I print directly from Lightroom and once I figured out the exposure needed for a good print the rest was gold!

We have had several PM-300 Shows with the large display screen and they have all died. We bought this one because we print 4X6s at parties and we don’t have to carry a lot of equipment. We’re frustrated with the PM-400 because it does not connect. Can you please bring back the PM300???

There are a lot of things I like about this printer. I got the white model and it looks very clean and compact. The set up for the printer is very easy and I can use it wirelessly which is really convenient. I have printed a handful of 4 x 6 photos and the quality is very nice. Overall, it is very user friendly, doesn’t take up too much room, and produces nice photos.

I purchased this a few weeks ago, good printer, great pics, but one of my programs for printing pics will not let me or the printer will not let the program print 4 x 6 that are full page, both edges are about 1/2 inch borders. I like to use this program because if I do not put date on my pics on the camera, this program will add the date for me.
