Compact, wireless, and designed for high resolution photos, Epson’s PictureMate PM-400 Personal Photo Lab uses MicroPiezo inkjet technology to create detailed prints at 5760 x 1440 dpi at up to 5 x 7″, ideal for your snapshots and family pictures. It works with 3.5 x 5″, 4 x 6″, and 5 x 7″ paper, as well as No. 10 envelopes, for producing your most common and convenient photo sizes. Also, it is capable of producing a 4 x 6″ photo in about 36 seconds.
On top of all this, it offers borderless printing, Auto Photo Correction, and thanks to a 2.7″ LCD and SD card slot it can function without a computer. Mobile printing is an option with Wi-Fi Direct and this works with a wide variety of different protocols, including Apple AirPrint and Google Cloud Print.
The PM-400 can hold up to 50 sheets of plain paper for documents or 20 sheets of thicker glossy photo paper. There is also an option for single sheets up to 23.6 mil for more specialized media. Additionally, for connection you can either plug in using a USB 2.0 cable or connect the printer to the network using Wi-Fi.

I just received my new PM400 Olympus Portable Printer. I followed instructions and it appears I have done everything correctly. I chose the PM400 to replace my Olympus PM290. I hadn’t used it in quite awhile and when I decided to bring it out of the closet again I was having issues cleaning the printer head. Fortunately it works now and comparing it with the new PM400 I am getting excellent results with the color but the new PM400 has new advantages, such as, wireless and being able to download photos from my computer. Love the compact printers from Olympus. I hope they keep these items in the production each year.

Bought this product based on reviews. Had 3 assignments for quick 4×6 prints. Worked just fine at 45 seconds per print. Color and contrast perfect. Ink lasted 100 4×6 prints. Just bought another one for back up.

Excellent printer for 4×6 and 5X7 prints. Colors are brilliant and vibrant. Easy to use, once setup. I had difficulty in getting the computer and printer to communicate with each other. Called Epson Tech Support, and received no help. They suggested I call Apple Care to see if there was a problem with my Apple Air Port router. Apple was extremely helpful, checked all my system, found no problem, and then actually helped me with windows. Deleting the print driver installed by Epson, and allowing windows to ‘find and install’ the printer solved the problem. Seems amazing that I had to have an Apple rep solve a Windows problem. Once configured, it works great and produces great photos.

This Epson PictureMate PM-400 printer is the best of all Mobile Printers… I’ve tried them all,and again,I’m stating that this is by far the very best..As a photographer who takes photos of weddings,birthday parties and many other social events I find this printer is a great asset to my business.. Clients love the fact that I can present their guest with a beautiful photo of themselves with their host before the event is even over.I’ve tried mobile printers that use rolled ink cartridges that take a long time to print a photo since the paper has to go in and out several times before the picture is finished… this printer,the Epson PM-400,prints out a magnificent photo in less than 30 seconds…It’s a small unit that can be transported with great ease and the Wi-Fi works really well.. I certainly would recommend this printer to anyone in need of a truly mobile printer..

I have processed my own photos for thirty years. This print is the best for 5*7, 4*6 prints. Quick and easy, accurate color, tones and clarity are perfect. Setup (wireless) was a breeze. Takes up very little space. I wish I had this a long time ago

Bought this for myself for Christmas 2016, and I’m so please with it’s performance, even a year later. It doesn’t have a handle, like the Charm, but its compact size still makes it portable. I’m a scrapbooker, so I take my printer to crops and retreats. Love that I don’t have to have a computer to print custom pictures. Vibrant color means beautiful, professional quality prints every time.

We had a pm200 which worked great large screen for reviewing and editing your photos. It was great and why they ever did away with it was a dumb idea. People who buy and use these type of photo developers don’t want all the computer garbage. The viewing screen is small this was a bad idea. Please bring back the pm 200 or something like it. I like Epson products but a pm400 is a big mistake.

This unit is compact, light weight and most of all, the pic are colorful. I bumped the light up several stops on laptop prior to printing. The are tack sharp.
