Take on demanding print jobs with ease by using the highly-capable WorkForce Pro WF-4740 All-in-One Inkjet Printer from Epson, which even packs in scanning, copying, and faxing capabilities. Using PrecisionCore inkjet printing technology, users will enjoy sharp, vivid documents at up to 4800 x 1200 dpi while also conserving resources. The printer is quite fast, able to work at ISO speeds of up to 24 ppm in black and 22 ppm in color. Also, it can work with a variety of media types up to large banners measuring 8.5 x 47.2″ and offers automatic duplexing in every mode, to save on paper and time. Along with all these features, the printer is able to be set up as a wireless unit, benefitting from both Wi-Fi Direct and NFC for direct connection to a smart device.
Scanning, copying, and faxing is made possible through the inclusion of an 8.5 x 11.7″ flatbed and a 50-sheet ADF. An optical scan resolution of 1200 dpi helps users capture sharp, detailed images. General media handling is done via two 250-sheet paper trays, allowing users to load multiple media types at the same time. Users will benefit from intuitive operation as well thanks to a large 4.3″ color touchscreen and a front USB port for directly printing from or scanning to a portable drive. Additionally, standard USB 2.0 and Ethernet connectivity is available along with built-in Wi-Fi.

Let me start by saying that I pretty much always stuck with HP printers as long as I can remember so this is my first Epson. That being said, I am pretty impressed with this printer. A must nowadays is to be able to seamlessly print wirelessly from all of my devices(phone, tablet, etc.) and this printer does it with ease. Set-up was nice and easy too. One of my biggest issues with printers is that the ink seems to run out fast and is expensive to replace. This Epson is able to print tons of pages before the cartridge is empty. It also holds an entire ream of paper which means not having to have to store the paper that didn’t fit in the drawer like other printers. Print quality is excellent . From photos to school reports, this printer prints quickly, quietly, and with quality. Some of the other features on this printer are equally as well done. Scanning was not very hard to do. I like that it can be emailed directly from the printer instead of having to save it and then email it like my old printer. The quality of the scan was also great. For those that need to use this as a fax, it sends it like a pro, faxing a multi-page document in just a few seconds. Overall, I have been very impressed with this printer and when this one dies, I will definitely consider Epson for my next one. I have never had an easier time setting up anything electronic than this Epson Workforce Pro. Whoever is in charge of making this process incredibly easy should be given a raise and promotion. Every technology firm should take a page out of your book on how to create an easy interface for clients to set up, use, and understand their product. I wish everyone else was as good as you guys! I bought this machine one month ago. It has rapidly becomes less reliable and requires constant software updating. It cannot be depended upon to scan documents, even through a USB hard wire to a desk top. I do not have the time to play with a poorly developed machine and software, cannot recover the time that Epson has stolen from me, and am on the verge of throwing the machine away and buying from one of your competitors.

Need no charge phone support to set printer options for first month of use. Cassettes that contain paper difficult slide into/out of printer. Limited/incomplete info/guide/video to print from device using WiFi. No info/guide/video to set printer options like change the appearance of a doc from a graph to a finished/business communication. Printer often ejects blank pages when printing multi-page doc.

I bought this printer for work-related activities at home mainly for which I am required to scan pages into my email to be sent out to coworkers. However, my computer did not come with a disc reader, so I could not download the disc that came with my printer all-in-one the WF-4740. I have tried everything I can think of, downloading the drivers, going through the printer setup program, manually entering my smtp server settings. None of it has connected my printer to email capability. I’m sure it will work eventually and the printing is amazing, but why can’t this process be simpler with wifi and bluetooth everywhere now?

They took over remotely and started to access my computer. I immediately knew it was not right. Crazy that the main website could be hacked.
