We have been using Epson products for the last 12 years in our office – this model by far is the absolute best! Easy to use and set up. Way too many features to list, the touch screen for controls are second to none. You will not be disappointed with this printer!

I bought this some time ago the printing is one of the best. The only thing I don,t like is if there is a update available you can not use it until you do the update. if there is something wrong with the scanner you can not use the printer. Some time you just have the time to figure out what is the problem is. I got up and there was a scanner error on my screen and had not used the scanner for 6 days. It took me two and a half hours to do a update and reregister it before I could use it. All it was was a updated driver for the scanner! I would recommend it because of the print quality with a HUGE warning about the updates.

This is replacing an officejet pro hp printer. This is a large printer but the double paper trays more than make up for the size. Love the photo quality and the individual color ink cartridges. Epson is known for it’s photo quality.

I’ve owned this printer since late September and I’ve already gone through my second packages of ink. It is lousy on photo glossy and just an awful printer. This is my 5th WF printer and I’m so sorry my last one broke because I’d much rather have it than this one. I’ve spent more on ink that the printer cost. $108 to refill the ink. Ridiculous!

Bought a month ago to replace same model purchased 26 prior. Quit working just as warranty expired.Error message about scanner could not be resolved. Found others experienced similar issue, troubleshoot and online recommendations did not help. Great machine when it works right. This new one seem slower in print speed. Since the last one quit just after 24 months. I bought a 3 yrs extended warranty this time. Wait and see……

A month ago when Hurricane Irma rolled through, several hours after the storm left town, my electric power was a victim of the power company deenergizing a power line. Five and half days later, power was restored. Meanwhile the 90 degree plus heat caused my color laser to develop some environmental issues that were too expensive to waste on a 4 year printer. So this printer looked like a cheaper and maybe a better replacement and so far it has lived up to expectations. It was easy to set-up for someone like me who is a user, not a technician.

But now I can’t get the magenta and cyan colors to print ( yes they are full of ink). How to do a power clean. Just get a support website but no support

Bought this a week ago. been struggling to set up email for scans etc. so complex that it feels like a printer from the 1990s. I still have not been able send scans by email! and I’m reasonably computer literate

The Epson WorkForce Pro WF-4740 all in one printer is perfect for the person who needs the features of a large printer but only has the space for a small printer. This by no means is your normal printer, it is much more. As a teacher, I make a lot of copies, scan or fax on a daily basis. Running to the teacher workroom is not always feasible between classes, and I only have limited space in my work area. This printer meets all my needs and then some. It is only 16.7″ long x 9.8″ high with a depth of 14.9″. It sits nicely on the corner of my desk. It is also very affordable. The best part about this printer is that it is Wi-Fi compatible. It works well with an iPad, iPhone, Android or other smartphones. Easy to use and set up. Some of my favorite features are that it holds 500 pieces of paper (a full ream!) in the paper tray and that it has “2” trays. I can put mixed media in each tray. Paper in one and envelopes in another or white paper in one and colored paper or resume paper in the other. I also like the fact that it holds around 50 pages in the top auto document feeder tray. It also prints very fast. It can print about 24 pages of black ink per minute or 22 pages of colored ink per minute. The quality is outstanding! Some of the other features I love are that you can print 1 to 2 sided, 2 to 1 sided or even 2 to 2 sided! The color touchscreen is 4.3″ and very easy to navigate. You can easily make enlargements or change settings such as color intensity levels with ease. It even collates your pages. This is a review for the Epson Workforce Pro WF-4740 All-in-One Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.

From the time I took my WF-4740 printer out of the box, ’til I was wirelessly printing was about 18 minutes, to include the driver installation, wireless set up, & product registration. This is a remarkable device, & Epson has made it very easy to set up. I am very happy with this printer, & the extra services Epson has in place for owners of their products! CHEERS!!! Joel W…

I purchased this item to use in addtion to a HP model. It is a compact unit that does not take up a lot of space and is fast with excellent print quality. This is my first epson brand printer and I could nto be more impressed. It has been working flawlessly and had a bunch of features and is simple to use. I hope to have for many years to come!

I had purchased an Epson WF-3620 and I absolutely loved it. Started having hardware issues and I contacted customer service. They ended up sending me the WF-4740 as a replacement. Prior to my old printer died, I always bragged out the produce and that I would never by anything else than an Epson. Thank you for being there for me. Hats off!!!!

I bought the Work Force 4740 about 2 months ago and (1) the scanner does not and never worked (2) the paper trays are awful for both paper & envelopes

auto shut off a real drag – I always have to turn it on and turn it on before each usage in order for my router to recognize it. printing envelopes iffy – you have to perch the security envelopes on the threading arm at the back of the tray just right so you don’t end up with a jam. scanner seems pretty good. software installation outstanding print quality seems like laser quality
