I have never had a new product not come with the full auto set up function. This was a very poor choice on your part The product requires to jump back and forth between your computer and the very poor lit panel screen to get it working, just when I thought it was working, it stopped, now I cant print or scan and I am going back thru a new set up in an attempt to get them working, this sucks

BEST PRINTER THUS FAR, EASY SET UP, NO PROBLEMS.

I bought this to use primarily as a scanner. I set it up the first time and the scanner worked fine. Now I am trying to scan again, and the scanner is telling me it can’t find my computer (and I just printed to it from my computer) and to install the Epson Event Manager software. I checked my software and it is already installed. I clicked “Repair” and it still doesn’t work. I will have to return it. VERY UNHAPPY

I have only printed test pages but, so far, the product has performed well and I am throughly impressed with the ease of startup (especially the wireless connectivity). I had an Epson printer prior to this unit and that older unit lasted about 7 years (an eternity for electronics). I appreciate the the fact that the method of startup and operation is consistent with the older model so the learning curve is slight to non-existent. The unit is attractive and compact and the ability to use it in a wireless capacity rather than a cable connection is extremely attractive – however I definitely appreciate that the older cable connection is still available if needed or desired. I am glad I went with this product and this has probably sold me on becoming a lifetime Epson customer.

I just set the printer up today and have only printed the two test copies. It wasn’t too bad to set up. It would not recognize the printer with the USB cable. After I set up the wireless, it set up with the USB perfectly. I bought this printer because the previous Epson Workforce was such a good printer for years. Hoping to have the same luck with this one.

I bought this to replace a WF-3620 (which I loved) that I had for a few years. I know it’s a “step down” but seemed fine for what I needed. The only noticeable difference was that it prints slower and not quit as crisp but still good enough. Everything was fine until the first time I replaced the black ink cartridge. Now when it prints it skips lines. I’ve done all the maintenance steps which helped a bit but didn’t fix the problem.

Just bought today and cannot install. Even your technician at Epson could not install as I only have Windows 7

This is my 3rd Epson printer. I have found that the print quality, ease of use and reliability are very good. I have upgraded to the WF-2860 because I could use the extra features. I expect the same fine print quality and reliability I have enjoyed from my other Epsons.

Just purchased on Saturday, 9/25/21. Failed to install it properly on 9/26/21, but realized computer and printer were not communicating. Therefore, waited until my day off to use better lighting and check out the “USB Port” site. Upon looking at the port I attempted to use, I knew why the printer and computer were not communicating—I had the USB cable resting in the fax port. Several friends at work said they had trouble installing their printers—no brands mentioned. One friend said to look in the port site, so when I did, that’s when I recognized the problem. Might I suggest that the USB port site be more clearly marked (embossed or different color), and that the illustration for this site be more clearly delineated in the set up instructions.

Epson’s wf2860 is a remarkable printer, It communicates with you on a regular basis relative to its status, capabilities, needs and updates. This printer is more like a friend, family member, co-worker, staff member, partner or a comrade than a piece of office equipment sitting on a desk, stand, cart or table. In addition, Epson – the company – is far more vigilant when it comes to keeping the printer functioning and performing at maximum capacity.

Epson support is poor I will not consider buying another Epson product. The printer has four cartridges I only use the black but the printer will not let me print anything with the new EPSON 202 X/L without replacing the others that I do not use. My Name is John M. Hall

I normally don’t comment on reviews but by far this was so easy. Anything tech hubby normally sets it up but this time it’s 2020 and I got this. I am so proud of myself. Thank you so much for developing a simple and convenient product. Have a bless year.

It literally took me 1/2 hours to set up this printer. Very disappointed in the instructions provided.

Bought this recently to replace my old XP-310 (which died) and I miss the old one more each day. Problems with the WF-2860 thus far include: – Start button is black-on-black with no outline (all other buttons have a white icon) so it’s difficult to find – Start button has to be pressed really hard to activate, I usually need to press it several times – Touchscreen is almost impossible to read in daylight (does nobody at Epson have a window in their office?) – Printer is incredibly noisy, at first I thought the paper was jamming but then realized it’s just really loud! Every time I need to print something I flinch at the noise level. – Hidden feed tray means you can’t tell how much paper is left (vs. old top-feed) – Print tray sticks out really far and gets in the way – It takes up almost twice as much space as my old printer which had all the same features (except for fax which I don’t use) – Every time I turn off the printer it asks “are you sure?” and I need to press “yes” to turn it off. If I press the off button, it means I want to turn it off, I shouldn’t need to confirm each time! And the difficult-to-read touchscreen just makes the unnecessary extra step more annoying. On the positive side, print quality is good, but I’m so irritated by all the annoyances that I almost don’t care. Wishing now that I had spent the money to fix my old printer rather than buying this one.
