Filling a wide range of needs in a compact design, the Expression Home XP-4100 Small-in-One Printer from Epson is able to print, scan, and copy documents for your home office or personal use. Capable of printing at rates of 10 ppm in black or 5 ppm in color, as well as reaching a max resolution of 5760 x 1440 dpi, the XP-4100 works for printing both high quality images and photos, as well as personal and business documents. It features a 100-page input tray that allows for automatic, double-sided printing and copying, and the unit is compatible with Wi-Fi Direct for setting up network-free wireless connections between tablets, smartphones, and the printer. The XP-4100 comes with a 2.4″ color LCD for simple setup and navigation, and hands-free voice-activated functionality allows for easy printing on command.

Connected this printer, new out of the box, and the paper refuses to feed properly. There are no paper guides, as with Canon Printers for example. If you place the paper where it says (central) it twists to one side. If you place the paper to the far left it feeds then instantly jams in the printer. Nothing I have tried has resolved the problem and am waiting for Epson (not holding my breath) to reply to my complaint. In short, spend a little more on a Canon Printer.

The prints are fuzzy and have streaks in it. Cleaning and readjusting the print head won’t fix it. Easy to connect to, but a printer that is slow and blurry isnt worth buying.

This has been a very reliable and straight forward easy to use printer, with many options and features from much higher priced counter-parts. I’m very satisfied with the ease of wifi printing, mixed with the rotating 2.4 digital LCD display that works with a very small footprint on your table. The quality of the prints are superb, and the scanning DPI is extremely accurate and in depth. I am very satisfied with Epson and B&H with this purchase. Thanks!

You’ll pay more in ink and aggravation than you save. Menus and operation are fiddle-y and annoying, but the deal-breaker is ink. It runs out very quickly and Epson updates the firmware to reject some refill carts (I got refills to work once, might not next time) thus it’s hard to get discount ink for this thing. If one color cartridge is out you can -sort of- print in B&W, you’re required to step through menus every time. BUT you can’t copy at all, including in B&W. — and so forth. Don’t buy this. Epson probably sells this at a loss to themselves and makes it up on ink. TNSTAAFL

The Epson Expression Home XP-4100 is a decent small printer for ordinary office work. The biggest attraction is the cheap price. It could use a printed instruction manual but that seems to be a common fault these days.

The Epson XP-4100 is a great little printer. I have other Epson printers for printing fine art photographs but wanted one for copying, printing emails, etc. Easy to set up wirelessly within minutes. Small footprint to save space. An absolute great value!
