I HAVE A LOT OF TROUBLE WITH THE ERROR LIGHT. IT COMES ON WITH EVERY LITTLE, AND SMALL PROBLEM. I HAVE HAD IT FOR ABOUT A YR. OR LESS. FIRST WHEN USING THE REAR SLOT, IT’S ALWAYS SAYING – PAPER JAM, WHEN IT ISN’T. THEN WILL SAY ITS DOWN TOO FAR, OR NOT ENOUGH AND THE ERROR LIGHT COMES ON + PAPER JAM. I HAVEN’T USED IT A LOT AND NOW IT WILL NOT PRINT, GIVING ME AN ERROR LIGHT AGAIN AND A #. WHICH I LOOKED UP AND SEEMS TO BE BECAUSE TOO MUCH INK IN RESEVOR? (DO NOT KNOW WHY?) BUT I DO NOT UNDERSTAND THE REMODY. ALL IN ALL FINE WHEN IT WORKS, BUT HAVING A LOT OF UNNESSASERY PROBLEMS!!

When I first unboxed the Epson WF-7210, I was taken aback by the size. This printer is massive! This is a wide-format printer though, so the extra size is needed. If you have limited space for a printer, this might not be the printer you need. This is also JUST printer. No scanner or copier here, so keep that in mind. This printer is more for printing full page graphics, and for that, this printer excels. The printing speed for full color is impressive, and the color quality will not let down. This printer also has two paper trays for a total capacity of 500 sheets. It also has a page feeder in the back. The initial setup was very simple. Plug it in, turn it on, and follow the directions. Once that is set, you have two options to set it up with a computer. Either plug it in via USB (the printer drivers auto-install and is ready to print in seconds), or set the printer up on your wifi network (I suggest plugging it into the router via RJ-45 Ethernet cable if possible). If your smartphone is equipped with NFC, simple touch your phone to the NFC logo on the printer, and it will direct you to download the Epson E-Print app. Touch it again after the app is installed and the printer will be setup on your phone. Overall, I was very impressed with this printer. Again, this may not be your everyday, home printer. This is geared toward full page graphics, or anything you need to print in a wide format. Setup is a breeze, and the speed and quality of the printer are certainly impressive. We use both Epson professional imaging products and smaller desktop printers in our business. In 17 years of using Epson printers, it has been an absolute guarantee that as soon as the warranty expires, the given machine soon becomes a boat anchor. Print head clogging is the norm. Replacement of heads and dampers at the two year point on large format products is a given although our equipment uses only Epson ink. And boy do these machines use ink. We throw away desktop machines every year for the same reason, except those machines are field-serviceable. By contrast, we have one HP inkjet that has just had major service after running daily for seven years and the heads are user-replaceable. Our HP latex machine runs rings around the Epson eco-sol – no missed nozzles, no downtime, no days wasted trying to bring the printer back to life. If some of our clients didn’t require Epson proofs, we would move everything to something, anything else. Put another way, “It’s an Epson” is NOTHING like saying “It’s a Honda.”

I print about 9 pages and since that it says that its clogged and the print are missing colors. Several maintenance to the printheads, alignments and nothing work.

Epson WF-7210 printer has been a positive experience so far. Easy to set up and get on the network, took about 20 minutes, of which most was priming the ink cartridges, updating firmware, etc. From there, everything was guided well. Good looking printer, and is able to handle larger paper, which is great for work usage. Downloading the iPhone app also allows you to print pictures directly from your phone, which is a great feature. App is easy to use and printer had no problems syncing up and going right to work printing pictures. Doesn’t have a scanner, which was a disappointment in a printer advertised as “all in one”, but that’s apparently the tradeoff for the larger format printing and the two large capacity paper trays. The two trays are needed so you can have regular 8.5×11 and 11×17 (or your choice) both loaded up and ready to print. Only other disappointment is where the finished print jobs come out; they come out the front of the printer instead of the top. There is a slide out tray to catch them, but it’s not very sturdy and would be prone to breakage when extended; print jobs should have come out the top and stayed on top of the printer body. These two items are the only things keeping this from getting a 5* review. Still fully earns the 4* for a solid print job, however, and if speed and quality jobs are the priority, this is a good choice. Quick overview for those that like to know the good points overall. Unboxing was easy. Only comes with the power cord and ink. No USB cable for setup, and it’s honestly not needed. If you have an old printer with the cable, it should work just fine. On screen instructions are easy to follow, though the screen is a bit small. If you have a long/complex WiFi password, it will take time to enter in all the characters. Just be sure to push the right arrow key after entering the last character. After getting it on the WiFi, it did prompt to update the firmware, which I let it do. Setting up computer drivers (custom built Windows 10 machine), it did take a few tires before the printer was added to the computer. Printing black and white documents come our really fast. Color documents take a bit more time, but still very quick. Overall, this is a great quality printer, whether you’re using it for work, or to print your kids school papers. With two trays holding up to 500 pages, You won’t have to worry about refilling paper as much. In-depth review (warning, this part has more words) The printer does not offer any scanning features, but that’s compensated for the two print trays, which hold up to 205 sheets of paper, which is essentially 1 ream from the local store. It does have the ability to print from a mobile device. After putting my phone (Google Pixel) near the NFC icon (a box with a N in it (Phone will need to have NFC turned on for this to work)), It took me right to the Google Play store to download the Epson iPrint application. The mobile app will tell you the current ink levels, and allow you to print right from the app to the printer. Tested this feature with a color picture, I did notice that it took additionally time to print over using a computer. Some clipping did occur, but I did not pick the right paper size to begin with. Your mileage may vary, but I would suggest testing on standard paper first before using up photo paper. More advanced settings and features can be configured through the IP address of the printer, which is obtained by printing off the Network status sheet through Settings – Network status – Print status sheet. For me, this used 3 pages of paper single sided. I have a paper saving way below, in my more technical review. You will get a security warning about the page not being secure. Go ahead and proceed anyway. Google Cloud Print Services can be setup through the web settings. Once allowing access (assuming you are signed in to Chrome), it will print off a registration complete page. Technical advance review. (Just bullet points, geared more towards IT people, but should be simple enough for anyone) SSL Certs – I tried to change the SSL settings from 128 to 256, but was unable to connect to the web front to do more configuration. I had to download the EpsonNet Config Utility in order to change the settings back. This does require a Windows Firewall exception to use. Time Server – Using the EpsonNet Config Utility, I was able to setup a time server. You can configure this through the web front, but I did it through the utility after having to revert my SSL settings back to 128. It does require an IP address, so if you’re like me using this at home, but don’t want to worry about the time, setting this up is easy. This is a review of Epson’s WorkForce WF-7210 Wide Format All-in-One Printer, which can print on paper up to 13 x 19 inches. The printer is about twice the size of an average multifunction printer, which makes sense considering the large paper the machine can use. The unit has two paper trays, called “cassettes” as well as a single sheet paper feeder in the rear. All three paper locations can hold paper up to 13 x 19 inches. Both cassettes can be extended out the front to hold paper longer than about 12 inches. For the cassettes, you must define paper dimensions and type (e.g., normal, glossy, matte, etc.) per tray. Each cassette holds about 250 sheets of plain paper and the printer can auto-duplex when paper is fed from either of the cassettes. Auto-duplexing is not supported when paper is fed from the rear feeder. Despite its label as an All-in-One, the 7210 has no glass platen; so does not support copying, scanning, or faxing. The printer’s box includes the printer, setup instructions, and a CD with drivers. Setup is straightforward, but I ran into a problem with the included driver. After manually adding the printer to my wireless network using the device’s LCD screen, I confirmed the unit was on the network. Then I attempted to install its driver from the included CD. The software found the printer on the network and then claimed it could not proceed because the printer could not be found. Huh? The solution is easy… go to Epson’s support site at epson.com/support, then download and install the latest driver. This issue is why I gave Product Quality 4 stars instead of 5. Another tip would be to download the User Guide from Epson’s support site – I refer to it often to learn nuances about the printer’s capabilities. My overall impression of this printer is good. Print quality was excellent using the normal paper settings and operation was relatively quiet. The drive can auto detect best cassette / tray for normal use, but remember to specify you’ll be using the rear feed if that is the case. When printing photos, I observed that paper matters. Comparing the same photo printed on HP glossy paper verses same using Epson glossy paper, the latter is sharper with wider contrast and color range. The MF-7210 supports printing text in draft mode, in which the text is fairly light so that black text looks gray. Finally, AirPrint works flawlessly from iOS devices. In summary, I like this printer. Once set up; it prints well, quickly, and quietly. It appears to be targeted at small office / home office and would also work fine for a home environment as long as you can allocate the space. I wish it had a large format scanner and support for files on a USB stick, too, but you can’t have everything for such a reasonable price. The entire transaction with B&H went extremely well. Very pleased. Thank You for providing great customer service B&H ‘—- As for the printer… well it is awesome too. I have a part-time graphic design / marketing business and needed a wide-format printer in house. Set-up for this printer went super easy and ended up hard wiring it directly to the PC. Put this printer to the test right out of the box. Couple impressive things for this inkjet….you see I recently sent off a brochure job to a web press for printing and client wanted matching brochure holders. I printed the holders on the WF-7210 and it color matched the web press brochure job remarkably well. 5pt Georgia style fonts printed clean and crisp. Having the full bleed function is a sweet deal as well. — Love it so far ~ Printer rocks for the price !!

You should NEVER have stopped making these printers. They are excellent printers. Sometimes all we need is A printer. Sometimes we need an all-in-one, then we would purchase one.

I’ve mainly used this printer through my smartphone and tablet. Since setting everything up, I’ve had no issues with printing from my phone, tablet, or PC. The setup was super easy too. All my devices are wireless, so I was concerned about the reliability of WiFi connection. In the past, I’ve had wireless printers that constantly dropped the connection. After using the printer for two weeks now, I haven’t had any issues at all. This seems to be a great all-around printer. I had to by this because the WF-7110 i had had a 0x97 error and eventually refused to work. Cheaper to by new than repair. This series printer is an inexpensive choice to print 11 x 17 dwgs.
