The XP-6100 printer is a great printer being a nice size – easy to set up and very versatile. I am one that doesn’t read manuals and found it extremely easy to operate. I did have some problems at first but like I said I don’t read manuals; it took maybe 20 minutes of playing around to figure it out but after that it works like a charm. Great piece of equipment.I recommend this to home users as am I.

The Epson Xp 6100 is a great little printer that is great for everyday printing. It is compact for an “all in one” (all in one minus direct phone line faxing capabilities) and does an outstanding job printing documents and photos. A lot of the features you will read in the spec sheet, but it does have an SD card reader that makes it easy to print photos and the “face” panel of the printer is adjustable so that it can be viewed and comfortably used depending on where you set up your printer. The printer uses a separate black cartridge for photos which I like because photos can use up a lot of ink. However, it is the kind of printer which takes a separate cartridge for each color, so you have to deal with 5 ink cartridges that you need to purchase. As far as setup, the printer sets up quickly. The box included a setup CD but upon inserting it to install it checks for the latest version online, so it isn’t really needed. You are better off just downloading it off the Epson website so that you already have the latest version of the software. Further software updates are handled by an installed updated program which can notify you when an update is ready. I have the printer set up completely wirelessly which was a quick process. I can print from my android phone as well as from my ipad in addition to standard computer wireless printing. One neat feature is that you can print via smart devices like the Google Home. But from what I tried out, it seems more for things like telling it to print graph paper or lined paper or calendars. Documents print at a decent speed under normal settings. Text comes out very crisp and clear. The photo printing capabilities of the printer put it above office grade all in ones, which is why I think this is great for a home printer. Some of the cons for me are the output tray, which could feel smoother pulling out (feels kind of stiff), and lacks a paper stop at the end (the little flap that helps keep papers from falling off the tray). The paper tray (for blank paper) is also pretty small for an all in one, you will find yourself refilling the paper tray more often depending how much you print. Overall this is a great compact all in one with great photo capabilities. This printer is one of the best so far ,I’ve had Canon and HP printers, they would paper jam or the ink would dry up ,haven’t had this very long but so far so good.

This printer is difficult to get to print, but my biggest issue is with the ink cartridges. They are astromomically priced and event though it says you should be able to print in B and W when missing photo black or color ink, it is nearly impossible to do so. It is an overpriced printer with overpriced cartridges that need refilling frequently. I have not been able to just print something the first time since purchasing this item less than a year ago. We have owned many, cheaper printers and are going to toss this one for another.

Works well on my home network (2 W10 computers,XP-6100 printer, tablets, and readers. I deducted one star because the printer would not work over the network after I installed MS update KB5004237 (both computers). Once I uninstalled that update the computers could print to XP-6100. I don’t know if that is a Epson or Microsoft problem.

I have been using the printer for a low volume printer for work for about 3 weeks, and it’s working well (so far). The wireless set-up was easy. Prints are good, but I’m not using it for photos–just text docs. The only downside is that you have to extend the paper exit try before it will print–which is why I only give it 4 stars. I have an Epson printer at home, and like the ease of use, the separate cartridges for each color for both of my Epson printers.

This printer has been a great addition to my small office where I needed a compact all-in-one printer. Although its small in size, it does have all the same features as larger models that I’ve used so. The construction of the printer looks very nice and build quality is great too. The design aesthetics of the printer hardware is modern so this printer looks great on my desk. I’ve been using this printer for about a month now and really like it overall. Print quality so far has been awesome too. It uses the five color ink so photos come out very nice. Max print resolution is high too at 5760 x 1440 DPI. Initial setup of the printer was quick and painless. It took me about 10 minutes to get the printer up and running with the latest firmware installed. The 2.4″ color screen made setup super intiutive and easy. Also, this printer comes with all the bells and whistles that you would expect from a recent Epson printer. It has a printer app to manage the printer from a smartphone or tablet. You can even manage the printer and change it settings from a web browser. It has Apple Airprint and Google Cloud Printer. It has Wifi Direct to allow for ad-hoc printing from a wireless device. Also has Epson connect to allow printing by sending the document to an email address that is assigned to the printer. Very cool. The only issues that I have with the printer is that I’m not able to use link my enterprise OneDrive account to use the cloud print function. My personal account works fine but it appears that work accounts are not compatible. Also, I wish the print tray automatically opens when needed and retracts when not needed. Not a big deal but you’ll need to manually pull the print tray out for the printer to print. Overall, I would highly recommend this printer! I purchased yesterday. Difficulty encountered with Trojan virus being detected. Fortunately quarantined. spent 2hours/12 minutes with support trying to ensure PC safe and to get printer recognized. Never happened. screen on printer kept reading paper jam when paper not present in feeder cassette. Taking back to store today.

Every time I change the ink or the paper I have to fiddle with it for at least 1/2 hour to an hour to get it to work again. I just put more paper in and it simply will not work. I can not get it to work again. it just says out of paper. Same when I change the ink. I have never had a printer that caused me so much grief.

I often have to shut it down and restart for it to print.. pretty annoying. Especially when we only print forms or occasional shipping labels. maybe use 3 times a month.. and usually 2/3 it won’t print. otherwise when it does work it does the job. scanner is quick but hardly use.

I like the simplicity of this printer. I use it mainly for making copies of back-up paper work, receipts, bills. There is also a slot for an SD card (on the side panel). I recently scanned an old photo for a friend, saved it to an SD card and edited the photo in Photo Shop. The price of this printer is also very reasonable. I also liked the ability to access all the important functions via the LCD screen on the front. Love this printer.

I thought my last printer was pretty good, but that was before I saw what this one can do. I had a Canon printer, and I had an ongoing issue every single time I tried to print from my phone. But, so far at least, I have not had that issue at all with this one. Its also faster and the “duplex” feature is a real big +. If you’ve ever tried to print on both sides (to save paper obviously) then you know the struggle I am talking about when using a printer that does not support “duplex.” The Android app and the desktop (Mac) app both worth great and connect to it seamlessly when I hit “print/scan.” My only concern in with the ink. Of course, it isn’t very cheap, but I am still not so sure about how efficient this printer is when using ink. All printers I have encountered in the past go through ink quickly, which I think are designed to do as such. I haven’t printed a whole lot in the last couple months that I have owned it, but I would expect the ink levels to be higher than they are now. Especially since I might have only printed one, maybe two things in color, yet the (color) ink levels are approx. 80-85% full. The printer arrived as anticipated from B&H. In the set up for an iMac, there wasn’t any disk or info on downloading printer drivers for my computer, there was a cd for a PC. In following the url provided in the manuals for support, I ended up at a phantom epson site that nearly caused my computer to become corrupted. I became suspicious and was able to bail out before damage was done. further, the printed materials suggested an online registration of the product, it was not findable so I emailed Epson and they said they didn’t do online registration any longer. I was able to register it via an email to another Epson department. A lot of time was wasted in the whole set up. Otherwise the printer is what i needed.

I bought this printer a month ago as a replacement office printer. It has been great. Not only did it setup quickly but I was impressed with the photo quality it produces. I almost didn’t buy it from some of the reviews I read, but you have to wonder about the experiences some people have. The printer works great, the features are a terrific time saver, and the quality is excellent. The double-sided printing is useful as I print many instruction sheets on demand. I did have to relearn some things, like handling mail labels. I am glad I purchased this model!

This unit replaced another Epson printer that I was also happy with but wanted something newer. The unit looks great, prints great and the ink prices are very reasonalble. Very happy with my new printer!
