Setup was fast and easy. I was printing images within an hour of the time I applied power. The color was the deepest and richest yet. Much better than my previous Epson R1900. The only problem I had was with the Epson Photo + software. The software was not able to find my icc profile sheets, was not able to drill down the folder structure enough to find images and was not able to interpret images other than JPG. I liked Epson Photo + for what it could do, but the print utility that came with the P700 and installed in Photoshop soon became my choice for printing. Overall, the Sure Color P700 is an outstanding printer but some of the peripheral support software is not so hot.

Brand new printer and already have to buy ink! The printer uses most of the ink that is shipped with it for initial setup. Come on Epson! I guess I know where that $200 rebate is going.

This is my first professional quality printer. I had been contemplating purchasing a P600, P800, or canon proGraf for months when I saw the announcement for the new P700 and P900. I’m very glad I waited. I was impressed with the ease of setup. Installing the requisite software was painless, as was connecting the printer to my wi-fi, which in my case was my iPad hotspot which can be problematic for other devices. I was amazed at the fact that with a modicum of training in Lightroom, I was able to produce prints that are surprisingly close to being an exact match to what is on my screen. Long story short, if an amateur such as myself can produce prints which exceed expectations, I’m certain any professional will blown away with the output of this printer. I look forward to finally producing high quality prints after years of only enjoying my (expensive) hobby onscreen.

I would love to give this printer five stars, but in the end there are some issues that keep it from being there. I have owned this printer for six months and have had a chance to fully evaluate most of the features. I will echo many of the reviews posted and say that this printer produces gorgeous quality prints. I have owned many professional quality photo printers over the years, and this one beats them all, hands down for print quality. I use mostly smooth gloss paper and the results are stunning. Detail is amazing, and color matching is top notch thanks to Epson’s new inks for this line. That said, I believe the paper feeds on this model are sub-par. Both rear and front feeds are finicky and have a cheap feel and sound to them. Just recently the rear feed on my printer has been refusing to feed more than one sheet at a time without a resulting paper jam error message. Epson’s support on this issue is less than helpful, only suggesting certain obvious fixes. The paper feed problem appears to be a fairly common complaint among P700 users, and it would be in Epson’s best interest to make it better. If you are considering purchasing this model, be aware that this may be an issue for you and be prepared to spend many frustrating moments figuring out how to get your media to feed successfully through this machine. One final observation: ink usage is MUCH better compared to the Canon model this printer replaced, which was a veritable ink hog. I have seen some complaints regarding ink, and yes, it is expensive, but compared to my experience with Canon it would seem Epson has the edge for overal cost vs amount used. Bottom line: a great printer for print quality, not so much for paper feed and frustration.

My company bought a Epson SureColor because our old printer broke down. It was a Epson workforce 1100. I loved that printer. I just installed the new printer the other day and it used all 10 inks to wet the ink heads. Make sure you have extra ink on hand or you won’t be able to print but a couple of copies. So far it is okay, still trying to figure out best paper to print on.

It took me a few prints to get everything correct between the printer settings, the driver settings, and Lightroom settings, but once I accoplished that, my prints look great. I’ve been using Epson Matte for B&W, and semi-gloss papers for color. Ink usage at the ultra-fine print setting is high, but I’ve had very good results at the Standard print setting. The printer said my light gray ink was low when I received it and hadn’t done any printing Now it is almost done after 4 prints, and B&H has replacements backordered. With these caveats this is a fine printer, and isn’t a space to weight hog.

I wrote a positive review about 6 months ago just after I purchased this printer. After using it for about year, my opinion still holds: this is an excellent printer. It took a couple of sheets of paper to get the black ink flowing properly, but the prints it makes are excellent, and I have no complaints whatsoever. As the headline says: completely satisfied.

Print quality with this printer is fabulous! Prints look exactly like images appear on my Mac. The clarity, crispness, and color of the prints from the P700 are far superior to the ones we printed on our old P400. It was so exciting to have image after image of our last trip to Kenya look exactly like we saw them and exactly how they should be remembered. Both the printer and the inks are well worth the price. As usual, B&H provided fast and efficient service throughout the entire ordering and delivery process.

My only complaint is that the inks are expensive and to received this printer with only 25% full cassettes is disappointing. I have printed eight 8×10 prints and thrilled with how they look. My ink levels have dropped rather fast. I am hoping that when I put in the replacements that they last for quite awhile.

I upgraded from a p600..wow what a huge difference. Definitely recommend.

I have been using Epson printer for years. I like that the new version does not require a matte black and photo black switch out ( printer holds both blacks). Set up was easy.

I hardly got to use it before it need to go to an authorized repair to have new parts replaced just 1 year and 3 months after purchasing and extremally light usage. I’ve just gotten out of the starter ink set for context and now a persistent error due to a bad sensor won’t allow any printing or functionality. This repair will likely cost of 1/4 of the price of the printer. You’ll save a great deal of money by just ordering whatever prints you want or need online. This is an absolute junk product that I regret purchasing.

The negative reviews regarding ink cartridges are misleading. It’s like complaining that when you bought a Rolls Royce, you didn’t get enough fuel for the first 50,000 miles included. ANYONE that knows what they’re doing in buying one of these printers knows that they ship with starter cartridges. This is NOT a cheapo home/office printer. This is a professional high quality photo printer. How someone would buy this for printing out PowerPoint slides is beyond me. That must have been a spam review. Honestly, has anyone really printed out a PowerPoint slide in the past 15-20 years? This printer is worth every penny you pay for it, and for the ink. You’re buying a premium product, with a premium price tag. The cost of the ink is simply the cost of doing business.

I am so happy with this printer for the replacement of Epson PHOTO r2400 that I’d been using over 12-year in great satisfaction. It was quite easy to set up quickly. Epson makes downloading drivers and profiles. Very much precise color and results. Couldn’t be happier.

I have always owned high end printers in the past , so I was a little reluctant to make this purchase. I read all the reviews and so many people complained about the starter ink cartridges. In my opinion, if you are an artist and selling your work, you should have a back -up set of inks in your business plan when you make your printer purchase. I found the image quality was everything I hoped for. When it comes to my high end prints, I still send them out to labs I have a working relationship with. I think the Epson P700 is Good printer for the price.

The printer came within 2 days and arrived in solid shape. Set up was straightforward and easy. Delivery was fast and after the mail in rebate the price was excellent. Important to recognize that printer comes with initiation ink cartridges which don’t print many pictures. Be prepared to spend an additional +/- $370 to get 10 replacement cartridges which hopefully will last much longer.

Replaced Stylus Photo R1900 with P700. P700 much richer color and much quieter printing.

Natural colors with little or no editing!

I received this Epson P700 Photo Printer about two weeks ago and have been using it almost every day since then. I’ve made roughly seventy 8.5×11 prints so far and love the results. The printer is easy to use and works flawlessly. I’ve noticed the ink level indicator will say INK IS LOW way in advance of actually running out of ink, so it’s possible to print dozens more photos before it actually says to REPLACE an ink cartridge. I highly recommend this printer.

Installation was a breeze. I simply downloaded the 3 recommended files from Epson’s website, installed then in the order as directed, and the wireless connected flawlessly. My first photo was gorgeous; my photo colors on my screen matched what I printed. My only disappointment is the minimal amount of ink in each cartridge, barely enough to just get started. Epson should have given more starter ink, since it is so pricey.
