The Epson Expression Photo Printer is easily an amazing product. It’s the best qulaity from a printer I have experienced yet. The design and function of this printer is very detailed and versatile. The setup was pretty much explanatory and clearly outlined in the instructions so its easy to assemble and configure! The only thing to note is to be cautious when installing the ink cartridges as some ink can get on your fingers, but it is avoidable. Upon setup the printer conducts a test on paper with the inks that you have to evaluate which sample is best to ensure maximum quality. The printer functions are also easy to access due ro the screen being adjustable for viewing with ease. The tray automatically slides iself out to catch printed paper, a plus! These advanced functions make printing so easy and quick its no joke. The number of functions is also outstanding! These include photo sized photo printing (a separate photo sized photo load tray), document printing, document scanning, etc. Very impressed and would have purchased if not tested!!! Good printer for money. Flimsy plastic, but so far prints well.

I bought this printer about a month ago and am very pleased with printer. The photo quality on this printer is exceptional and produces high quality prints. The set up for the wireless print was so easy and smooth. Adding I Epson IPrint to my phone was a breeze and was able to print easily from my phone. The menu on the printer is easy to follow and use. The scanner app that was installed on the desktop is easy to use and works quite well. The print on documents is not the fastest but certainly acceptable for home use and is no issue at all for me. As I bought this printer primarily for photo printing, I love this printer and would recommend it to anyone who wants high quality photos and for printing documents at home.

This printer does exactly what I was hoping, giving high quality prints at a great price. The ink lasts much longer than I thought and the setup was easy.

I’ve printed quite a few pictures with this excellent printer and both me and my wife are very pleased with the quality. Our desks are now adorned with selfies from our travels that we printed with ease by sending the pictures from our phones straight to the printer. Although it took some time to unbox, unwrap, unstick, assemble, set up, and align, the flow of use afterward has been pretty easy. Setting up wifi was easy, the QR code to set up with our iPhones was easy, and navigation on the LCD is intuitive, responsive, and smooth. For a flatbed, the low-dpi scanning was surprisingly quick, actually great quality, and created a relatively small PDF. The 1200 dpi–which is crazy high–was quite a bit slower but the quality is exceptional. Other features that are quite exciting: print-on-CD capability, “Quiet” mode (prints slower but quieter), auto-retractable display and output trays, photo collage (with pics from a memory stick), and basic greeting cards. Not too thrilled that I now have to replace a “Maintenance Box” in additional to ink cartridges, but at least the life span of all the consumables seems to be reasonable enough, and it did at least come with one new Maintenance Box. Overall quite pleased and would have bought one for myself, even though This is a review for the Epson Expression Photo XP-970 Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.

I had been using an Epson XP-950 and got an error message about the ink pads being at the end of life. (Interesting that it was about three weeks after downloading the first ever firmware update from Epson.) Epson does not sell replacement pads and replacing them would not be easy. The 970 was easy to set-up, the color prints have a slight yellow cast when compared to the results from the XP-950 but that probably can be compensated for by calibrating my monitor. Initially, there was a problem with the printer pulling multiple sheets from the lower tray but opening up the top/bottom guides seems to have helped. The on/off button seen in the product photos with the round white circle is not lighted when the printer is turned off making it difficult to find, black on a black panel. The main reason for buying the Epson XP-950 and the 970 is they fit on the roll-out shelf in the desk that I use for my computer.

The Epson XP970 is much improved over the Epson XP960. Software upgrades with a newer control panel and cassette trays to match.

Having a hard time deciding between a photo printer or an all in one print/scan/copy printer? With this printer, you do NOT have to choose as it does both flawlessly. Setup is an absolute breeze. It will take you more time unboxing this printer than setting it up – it is that quick and painless! Just unbox, turn on, put the ink (6 ink cartridges) in and connect to your wi-fi and print from your laptop, tablet, or phone! Don’t have wi-fi in your workspace? No problem! You can connect via ethernet or USB as well!! The form factor is a bit wider than most printers but this is because it prints 11 x 17 photos and prints them beautifully! Color accuracy is spot on and the print quality on these photos is second to none and that’s coming from someone that has tried all of the major manufacturer’s photo printers in the past. Need it to work with Apple Airprint, Amazon Alexa, or Google Assistant and have it print out something from your Google Calendar? You guessed it – This printer does all of that too! Whether you are an amateur photographer that likes to have physical copies of your photos in lieu of storing them in the cloud or on your phone, or a professional photographer that needs meticulous color accuracy on your photos, this printer will amaze you. Don’t print a lot of photos but need it to scan documents or print lots of reports? This printer has you covered as well as it handles black and white text jobs quickly and splendidly! This printer also allows you to print on envelopes and oversized 11×17 paper. It also has a very nice looking touchscreen LCD display that tilts up towards you when you turn the printer on to make your print selections easy to read and click. The only 2 minor gripes that I have is that I wish the paper tray held a bit more paper and the ink is a bit overpriced. Other than that? This is probably the last printer that I will ever need as it suits my needs perfectly and lets me print amazing quality photos whenever I want without the hassle of having to go to the pharmacies to print my photos! Get it – you won’t regret it! This is a review for the Epson Expression Photo XP-970 Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.

Setup The initial setup of the printer was easy. The printer has a user-friendly touch screen setup, guiding the user with step-by-step prompts for ink installation. However, the wireless installation did not work as well as installing the ink. I used the software download from the Epson site (I don’t have a CD player on my laptop). I spent too much time trying to get my laptop connected to the printer. Even after getting the wireless connection to my printer, I could not install the Google Print software because the site for downloading the software gave me the error. I spent two hours getting the wireless software installed. Printing, Scanning, and Copying Printing, once I finally managed to connect, worked. The scanning and copying functions worked, but the copy came out with blurry print. The printer reminded me that I still had the original on the scanner bed. I was unable to test the tablet and cell phone functions because I couldn’t download the Google Print software. I didn’t have a memory card to test the SD functions, and the vendor had neglected to ship the CD insert tray for me to test that function of printing on CDs. In summary, my experience with the Expression Photo XP-970 printer was that it is a basic printer with wireless connectivity issues. “This is a review for the Epson Expression Photo XP-970 Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.”

I like this printer. I would have given it 5 stars if it didn’t do some strange and unexplained maintenance. Occasionally, it starts some sort of operation that take several minutes, during which time it is inoperative. I’m guessing that whatever it doing is using up the expensive ink.

My household has been in need of a good printer for a while. My husband and nephew are both in school. So printing is a must. I do plenty of DIY projects so this specific printer came in handy. My favorite part is that it has so many features. But the photo printing sold me. I love that its touch screen and has a sleek body. It gives the printer a futuristic vibe. Since my nephew will be using it im sure he will appreciate the mobile printing. That way he can just print from his phone. Overall I love this printer. And the Instructions and set up were so easy. 10/10 would reccomend. This is a review for the Epson Expression Photo XP-970 Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.

I have had this printer now for a few days and hands down on the best one I have ever used. It was super easy to set up and cartilages were the easiest I have ever put in. The only thing I didn’t like about the set up I was confused on the maintenance box. It took me while to realize that it came with an extra. Both the treys were also easy to set up and I love how it asked me to set the size and type of paper in using. Made it really when printing off labtop. Also huge one my favorite about this printer was the memory card slot and all the option to print with it. I love being able to make photo collage right off of them and they have super cute background to add. I really enjoyed being able to print things right off my table because with all the tech right now who really uses labtop or memory card. It was super easy to print this off my Facebook or even my Google could. Now my absolute favorite thing about it was being able to connect it to Alexa. I was able to ask her to print things and within seconds it was out. I did have a problem connecting it to Alexa. I followed all the direction but the first time it didn’t prompte me to make a account so I spent like an hour trying to figure it out how to get my email to work. Finally I went and deleted all my info and It prompted the set up account part. It would be really awesome though if I could ask Alexa to turn it on but even with out that it has many other convenient things. This printer with definitely be a use in my family. Love this printer so far..I’ve printed a bunch of photos and and I must say the Quality of the prints is outstanding,I don’t use cheap photo paper and it shows, makes Awesome 11 by 14 borderless prints, the prints are vivid and professional looking.wireless set up was easy, follow the promps on the screen ,I had to enter my SSID number twice to get it to connect, then everything was off and printing.I found it to be decent on ink, would not call it an ink hog.I also like the speed of the color prints, about a minute and a half and you get a beautiful print,If your looking for an affordable printer that delivers professional looking photos, then you’ll want to get this printer, can’t beat the price at B + H,now I need to frame some of these awesome prints..
