Beautiful true color prints that rival a photo lab in quality. If you print a lot of 8X10 prints plan on dropping another bill on ink as it goes quickly, and no one locally carries the 277XL ink so you’ll need to go online. I now stick to 4X6 prints which are great for small wall mounting and do not use as much ink.

I installed it a while ago, thinking that it might be a seamless replacement for my XP-950. WRONG! It is a beaut and the things I already know how to do are exemplary. I have been studying it and I can see that it is going to be great as soon as the user “gets it”. Epson support has been a Godsend for me.

This is a great all-in-one printer for day to day printing jobs. I love this printer so far, I have printed so many photos and I must say I really liked the quality of the prints. To start with, installation & setup was straight forward as the instructions are detailed and step-wise, there was hardly any confusion about what to do next. The borderless photo comes out neatly and is no edges. The innovative fold over scan lid is very handy and makes the scanning so much comfortable. It easily connects to various mobile devices like iPads, iPhones, etc. This feature helps to print the documents on the go. And if you combine this feature with a hands-free voice activating feature then it is an unbeatable combination. I used this printer for my daughter’s project and all the prints including the colored ones were very good and it was appreciated by her teacher. It has two paper trays that can be used separately for photo & document prints. 4X6 photos come out in about 11 secs and it is of much better quality than my current printer. This has a good design and is compact & light-weight. The printer connectivity is very robust and can be used to print the documents from any area of the house. The 4.3″ touchscreen is user-friendly and helps greatly in operating the printer. Printing sound is not as loud as generally the printers have. This printer has editing tools, which include red-eye removal and photo restoration for old photos. All in all, a great quality printer which is capable of printing top quality borderless prints. This is an awesome choice for an all in one printer! Set up was very easy. It walks you through everything on the screen. I love that it actually had pictures that it displayed to show you how to do everything. The screen is adjustable and a very nice size. It was a little confusing figuring out the cartridges for the paper but once I did it was super easy to use it. Adding it to my computer was really simple. After setting it up I tested the features. it was all very easy to use and the quality of the printed sheets was great. It scanned quickly. My only complaint is it doesn’t have a scan to email option. But giving the quality of the printer that isn’t a big deal. It scanned to the computer fine. I would definitely recommend this printer. “This is a review for the Epson Expression Photo XP-970 Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.”

I’ve been using my Epson Artisan 837 all-in-one for years now and love it so i had high expectations for this new Epson XP-970. Well, let me say this small in one printer did not disappoint on any level. It was a pleasure using from start to finish producing clear, sahrp text and incredibly professional photos! The basic setup was a breeze as was downloading the Windows CD and configuring the wireless/wifi connection with a few clicks on my laptop and taps on the printer’s touchscreen it was very simple. The XP-970’s touchscreen is smooth and motorized. The angle makes it easy to use and the icons are very clear and understandable. I’m a realtor and put it to use perfect use by using it to print out a listing presentation. It came out absolutely gorgeous with a stunning photo of the front of the home which i used as the first page of the marketing packet. The homeowner commented on how great the photo of her home looked saying that it looked so crisp and sharp with amazing colors. I’m really excited to try to print photos on CDs and to use it with my Alexa! I also use my Ipad a lot and my cell and it works with all of them! Very cool features, I would highly recommend the Epson XP-970. This is a review for the Epson Expression Photo XP-970 Printer that i received free of charge to do a beta test & review

Since I am not very “tech-savvy”, I am always a little nervous when it comes to setting up new devices in my home office. However, the set-up for the Epson XP-970 was fairly straight forward after I found a place to put it. The Printer/Scanner/Copier was wider than my current printer, 18 “W x 14″D, but since it was wireless (bonus!) didn’t need to sit right next to my laptop. The process to install the color ink cartridges and adjust them correctly took about 10 minutes. Then adding this printer to my computer via wireless wi-fi was easy as well. There are several connectivity options: Ethernet, wi-fi, or you can connect directly to your PC with USB cable (not included). There are two paper trays for various sizes of paper. Neither tray holds a large amount of paper so this isn’t a machine for massive print/production jobs, but suits someone like me who has a home office. The screen on the front is bright and readable and has onscreen helps if you need assistance in how to perform a function. On to the good stuff! I was impressed by how vivid the photograph output was. With no enhancements to the photographs, they looked like amazing. The colors were true and accurate, and the speed of printing was relatively short. I also printed some other business forms that I had previously been producing in black and white and they look so much more professional on a color printer. I also took the time to connect the printer to my Android phone via my home network. Viola! I was able to print a photo from my phone as well. That’s a feature I will definitely use. Now, for couple of drawbacks. The printer is a tad bit noisy for my liking and not just during printing. I didn’t realize that it had a sleep function, until I had left on and jumped when it started making noise to put it to sleep. In addition, as stated before, I wish the paper trays were deeper and held more paper, but it does accommodate larger format images. If anyone with a home office is in the market for a larger format color printer, I think they would be well served by this model. Setup was incredibly easy to setup and connect to my Wi-Fi network. In less than 10 minutes I setup the XP-970 and was printing from my laptop. I also was able to connect my daughter’s iPad to the printer and she was able to print minutes later. Incredibly easy. I love the many “high touch” features this printer has like the retracting/deployment of the printer tray and touchscreen display panel This is the first time I have used a printer that had an expanded number of ink cartridges, which include cyan, light cyan, magenta, light magenta, yellow, and black. Clearly this is one of the inherent capabilities that enables the printer to produce great images, and if you use one of the glossy papers are absolutely stunning. I would definitely recommend this product if you are looking for a great photo printer. It doesn’t disappoint. This printer replaced an Epson XP-830 so I would have the ability to print an 11X14 print. Apparently Epson doesn’t make an 11×14 photo paper in premium luster any longer so I got the 11.7 x 16.5 size. The photo prints are OK. The one thing that has caught my attention is the scanner computer software. The software for the XP-830 always assumed the need to add a page when scanning. This software you have to click a checkbox. The one good thing they did do was put an option in to remove the incrementing number placed at the end of each file name for the scan. I always had to change the name after the fact with the XP-830 software. The XP-970 doesn’t have the document feeder either which I didn’t use that much so for me that wasn’t that bad. A pretty good printer but I wouldn’t call it a must have.

I cannot express how bad this printer is. Everything from being unbelievably loud, to paper jams, to ink smearing. I had the printer for 3 weeks and got 2 successful prints out of it. The rest of the time I was struggling to troubleshoot literally everything with it. Save your time and money and avoid this printer.

I received the Expressioin Photo XP-970 printer and was impressed with the details listed on the box about the product. It listed auto 2-sided print, multi paper input alimentation, mobile printing, touchscreen, CD/DVD print, memory card and wifi. Once I opened the box, everything was packaged so neatly. The instructions to install the software were pretty simple. I like the 4.3 inch touchscreen and after a couple of tries, I was able to connect to my home wifi. I had a couple of snags with Tray2. It took me a few tries to fully know where to put the paper, but I appreciated the diagram and instructions on the touchscreen to let me know what I was doing wrong. I have to print a lot of flyers for my job and this printer delivered very well. The colors in my flyers are so bright and crisp. The quality looks professional. Also, I think what makes the pictures so vivid are the options to choose what type of paper is being used. I’ve never seen a feature like this before. This printer packs a punch and I’m pleased with being able to print in different sizes which is good for my professional needs. I also like the size of this printer and can store it anywhere. I am also ecstatic that it automatically prints on two sizes without me having to print on one size and turn it over like my last printer. This is a great feature. I am loving this printer. The only major negative is how loud it is when setting it up. This is a review for the Epson Expression Photo XP-970 Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.

Received the Epson XP-970 last week. So far I am really impressed. The set up was a piece of cake. Turn on the printer and the control screen automatically lifts up. The screen has everything thing you need,, Copy scan etc. There are 2 paper cassettes. The bottom one holds the 8×10 paper and the upper one is where you put your photo paper. It seems to automatically sense what paper you have in and what size. Very happy with this. The tray that holds the finished printout Automatically expands and retracts. The only problem I had was when taking out the #1, upper cassette, I pulled out the #2 at the same time. The only problem was getting them back into place. After a few tries they clicked back in. Very happy with the printing. No empty spaces or lines. The following are before and after.

I am very satisfied with the Epson XP 970 printer. Unboxing and setting up was very easy, from box to use was less than 45 minutes. First use i did ensure the test pages process was complete. So that my printing experience would go smooth. I have used it atleast 12-15 times in the last 2 weeks. I can say I am very pleased with the print, copy and scanning process. The final results come out very clean and professional looking. I am confident I can finish printing alot of my photos from home, instead of having them printed elsewhere. It prints great quality photos and documents. It is reliable and i haven’t had any issues on any print jobs. I have not yet used all settings as far as printing from my phone, but i look forward to doing so. The size of the printer itself is great, especially for use at home. When not using we can store it comfortably on shelf. I would recommend this printer for anyone that use at home or office since its capable of multiple functions and easy to use. I’m a rank amateur photographer. Occasionally a photo I’ve taken does not hurt my eyes. I like to print those out to look at it from a different perspective than a screen. This printer does an excellent job. Maybe not necessarily professional quality, but that’s not what I need. Prints beautifully, very pleased with it.
