Create the large 11 x 17″ photos you always wanted to with the Expression Photo XP-970 Small-In-One Inkjet Printer from Epson, which offers high quality imaging along with the ability to scan and copy documents. Capable of printing at fast rates of 8.5 ppm in black or 8 ppm in color with a six-color Claria Premium ink set as well as reaching a max resolution of 5760 x 1440 dpi, the XP-970 will work for both photographs and high-volume documents. It also allows for double-sided printing, scanning, and copying of documents.
Scanning is possible via an 8.5 x 11.7″ flatbed with a maximum hardware resolution is 4800 dpi. This can be interpolated to an impressive 9600 x 9600 dpi maximum. Copying is performed at speeds of 8.1 cpm in black or color. Additional features of the XP-970 are a memory card slot for SD, MemoryStick Duo, and CompactFlash cards. Control and activation of settings without a computer is done through the 4.3″ touchscreen. Finally, the unit comes with USB 2.0, Ethernet, and Wi-Fi connectivity options.

I’ve been struggling to find a decent printer for photos, specially because I’m decorating a wall with some pictures I’ve taken over the years. As I need different sizes and sometimes just want to try how well a picture will go with the others next to it, having a printer at home is of the essence. Wow, this printer set up flawlessly and connected to my wireless without problems. And I disvovered it had features like retractable paper tray and touch screen. It also has ink recovery tank. Add that to beautiful print and photos.

This Photo, all in one printer is truly one of a kind , and also top of the line! Where to start???!!!! To begin , this printer , and all of the many epson printers i have all come packed extremely well and secure , and i love how all the accessories all come in their own designated slot. Each and every tray and lid all come protected to insure safe delivery next , on printer setup. The included instructions are very clear and the on screen instructions as well help make the setup a breeze on to the printer features-WOW! This printer was evidently extremely well thought out and planned. for example , the folding 4 inch lcd display is actually MOTORIZED!!!!! that’s nuts!! not only that , even the output paper tray is also MOTORIZED!! not having to worry about forgetting to open the tray and have all your prints all over the place is amazing! and when you power down the printer , it all folds away BY ITSELF!!!!! The print quality is really high quality and it really churns out amazing pictures! besides all the other really cool features this awesome printer has- like , double sided printing , pc free/wifi printing, 2 paper trays and others- the most amazing stand out feature i love is that this printer can connect to your smart home devices!!!! i can tell my google home to print out my shopping list , and BOOM ! its done! MIND BLOWN!! The only thing i dislike about this printer is that its a bit large and heavy , but other wise AWESOME!!! The Epson XP-790 is a joy to own. I have had it for just a couple of weeks, and I have already been successfully printing beautiful photos for clients. The setup was very self-explanatory, and my printer wirelessly connected to my computer with no issues. It is easy to load the various sizes of photo paper in the trays and then select the correct settings. The printer also has troubleshooting steps and help built into it. I was already able to fix an issue simply by following the troubleshooting step suggested. I’m very happy with my purchase.

Truly miss my heel packard experience of typing in my tcp ip address and having everything be plug and play and working automatically? Why can’t you guys accomplish the equivalence nobody has the time or energy to spend hours configuring or setting up a printer please let me know if I missed a major pnp button but short of that it took me nearly 5 hours to put my 1st document with this printer out of windows 10 everything legitimate everything set up correctly ? What gives?

This printer is very user-friendly when it comes to scanning, prints and copies. Unfortunately I have tried everything to troubleshoot this problem but I keep getting blurred print. I have wasted all sorts of ink with nozzle cleanings and all the recommended troubleshooting. My test Pages come out perfect but the print is blurred about 50% of the time! Very frustrating!

I find this printer really exceptional over the ones I have had in the past. That is including the HP one I currently have purchased 1 year ago. The setup process was easy to hookup, and the directions is simply as well. The voice talk to me is a great addition and really helps get things processed faster for me. It’s easy to use and picks up your voice automatically with no sensitivity issues. What I did find intriguing about this one was the six different cartridges they had. I processed some pictures and graphs for my business, which turned out really great. The two sided auto print is really convenient when processing documents. Everything pulls up quicker with this printer then it does with my other printer, which is quite amazing to me. We’ve had one of these for about two years and it has been an excellent all around printer. It makes beautiful prints, and is relatively easy to use. The scanner works well, and for our dinosaur clients who still want CDs/DVDs it does a nice job printing right on the disk. It’s a bit clunky to use an office printer, but handles everything we need for our home office. Well worth the money.

I’ve been using Epson printers for well over 20 years now, I also currently own a Epson Expression Photo HD XP-15000, but I needed a all in one printer copy’s and scans. First off there is no different in photo quality between the 2 printers, the the annoying this with this printer is that the 4 inch touchscreen is WAY to sensitive when I use it. But other then that, a great and well built printer.

We replaced our old Epson Artisan 835 with a new XP-970. Disappointed that our never used Epson E98 did not fit the new XP-970 — but we knew that ahead of time. The XP-970 itself has performed wonderfully — the new machine software is significantly better than provided for the old Artisan 835. All in all we are very happy with the XP-970 — but realize we will spend more on Epson inks in the years to come than we spent to purchase the XP-970.

My major complaint with this printer is that it is not possible print photos directly from iPhone/iPad when printer is configured to use ethernet. This was an unexpected and disappointing shortcoming! Otherwise I am well satisfied with this product.
