The resin-coated base is also easily handled with a basis weight of 252 gsm, or 68 lb, and a thickness of 10.4 mil. Also, the smudge- and water-resistant media features a rated opacity of 97% and a brightness of 92%.

I don’t like glossy paper. So there. But I’m doing a project in 11×17 and thought glossy might work well as a backup finish. Cost is an issue motivating my purchase. Epson papers never disappoint (I print with an Epsom P600) so I turned to this. It’s as good as any glossy in this price range I’ve tried! Saturation is very good. My only reservation is that coloration is a tad cool.

Even though glossy paper, it is not too glossy. It dries almost instantly. Not like other papers I have used. It is almost like a semi gloss. I have used it to give clients some samples to review before I send off to pro lab. They have put the photos on their fridge and in frames, and after 2-3 years still no fading. When I don’t have the time to send my photos to a pro lab (that still uses chemicals) and need something right a way, this works very well. The Epson color profile is great as well. I spoke with Epson and if you are using the 6 ink printers such as the XP-970, the ultra premium paper set up uses the same profile as this premium. I have printed on both papers and compared the prints. I could barely tell a difference. And considering the price difference and that Epson does not support the Ultra Premium profile, I would recommend this paper in this situation. Its about half the price.

This paper and my Epson 2200 Stylus printer never cease to remind me of my days in the color darkroom With temperature, chemicals, rinses, odors & disposals all a thing of the past. The imagine on my computer screen is the one printed on the Epson paper. What a pleasure.Customers are willing to pay $125.00 for my prints. We are both pleased with the Epson paper.

I have used Epson Glossy Premium Photo Paper for many years and with several Epson printers. It always delivers excellent photo quality and clarity. I use it many for family photos or photos of wildlife, etc. that are being put in albums or frames. Always need to let the photo cure for several hours to let colors and brightness become final. I use Epson Ultra Premium paper for those extra special family photos or photos that we want to last forever, but this paper does great, have many photos that are 10+ years old that still look perfect.
