The premium Epson semi-gloss is one of my favorite, almost the only paper I use when I need a low sheen good contrast semi-gloss finish. The Ultra Premium Presentation Paper Matte (that’s a mouthful in itself) is another excellent paper for a smooth, flat finish.

This paper has a little gloss but not the sharp, inexpensive shine of most glossy photo papers. This paper captures subtle colors. It has a quality feel and lasts well with the Epson pigment dye inks. We live in the Northeast where the pollution can cause print colors to decay to magenta within months. I’ve had this happen and it is embarassing. The Premium Semi-Gloss paper lasts more than a year before a bit of color change sets in on an exposed print. Actually, it lasts the best of several photo papers we have tried; that’s why I just bought 10 packs. MAK

I like the look of semi-gloss because it isn’t matte and it isn’t glossy. It’s just right. Usually use it for artistic photos. Haven’t really used semi-gloss before this so don’t have too much to compare it to. The only thing that I don’t like about the epson ink and paper is that it doesn’t dry quickly like other inks and paper that I use (canon printer).

I have been fairly satisfied with the quality of prints produced on this paper. I chose the package with budget in mind. I’m trying to make the most of my digital photography shots without breaking the bank. This is a great choice with that in mind. The 13 x 19 sheet size allows for great minimized 8 x 12 centered prints. The border really makes the image pop. Images are crisp enough, and colors seem to hold without bleeding. I’m sure higher end photo paper can produce even better results, but if on a budget this is a wise choice.
