With a popular E-type luster surface, Epson Ultra Premium Photo Paper Luster will provide digital printmakers with images that mimic the look of traditional silver halide prints. This polyethylene-coated RC base will also deliver outstanding color saturation for vivid prints and it features a basis weight of 240 gsm as well as a thickness of 10 mil. The paper will dry instantly for immediate handling and it offers an opacity of 97% and a brightness of 97%. Additionally, it features a gloss level of 16% at 60°.

Having recently changed photo printers because Canon will not update a driver for Windows 10, I also changed paper to the Epson line because I bought an Epson printer rather than reward Canon for not providing ongoing support for their otherwise excellent products. While initial prints were darker than desired, after calibrating monitor and printer using ColorMunki, great agreement between monitor and print. Very happy.

I am using this paper in an Epson XP-15000 printer and I am very pleased with the results. The finish is bright and clear (it is not glossy and does not show reflections as glossy can do) and suitable for many types of photos. Currently I am printing color shots, taken during the day and at night. I will try it with black/white soon and I expect good results there as well. If you insist on a glossy finish, this is not the paper for you, but if you don’t, or if you are not sure, try a pack. You will be very likely to use it for many photos even if you do print in glossy as well.

We used this paper for black and white photography. The contrast is good. The black is true. Color prints are also very true to a calibrated monitor’s color representation. There is no noticeable shift in color.

I have found the above named print media by Epson to be excellent for portrait work. The images appear to have a depth and dimension to them that is absent in other print media. The near life-like quality makes for a great finished product. The only criticism that I could possibly have is that it is reflective giving canvas an advantage in that regard…………………
