With a popular E-type luster surface, Epson Ultra Premium Photo Paper Luster will provide digital printmakers with images that mimic the look of traditional silver halide prints. This polyethylene-coated RC base will also deliver outstanding color saturation for vivid prints and it features a basis weight of 240 gsm as well as a thickness of 10 mil. The paper will dry instantly for immediate handling and it offers an opacity of 97% and a brightness of 97%. Additionally, it features a gloss level of 16% at 60°.

I recently used this paper to make prints for a gallery show I was having and the quality is great. I used an Epson R1900 to print my photographs and the paper profiles they provide make it easy to get a good print, especially when soft-proofing in photoshop in advance. I consider this paper to be a solid choice when I need archival quality photographs for both personal and professional use.

I bought it for my photo class, and it’s worked out great for me. It doesn’t look like it belongs in a gallery, but it will give you enough pop to impress you friends. I used the paper on an Epson 3800 printer in my college classroom, and found it to be vastly superior to the Epson Premium Presentation Matte we had been using previously. The colors were rich and accurate without being garish, and the blacks had some punch to them. So far I didn’t find anything that was a problem or unsatisfying.
