With a popular E-type luster surface, Epson Ultra Premium Photo Paper Luster will provide digital printmakers with images that mimic the look of traditional silver halide prints. This polyethylene-coated RC base will also deliver outstanding color saturation for vivid prints and it features a basis weight of 240 gsm as well as a thickness of 10 mil. The paper will dry instantly for immediate handling and it offers an opacity of 97% and a brightness of 97%. Additionally, it features a gloss level of 16% at 60°.

I’m using it with an Epson R3000 printer and Cone inks *. The paper is between matte and glossy, with a very fine texture. It has a heavy (polyester) feel to it like RC photo paper. On another note, I actually went to B&H to look at different papers; place is HUGE! The salesman in the papers department (no kidding) was extremely knowledgable and polite. (It was a real surprise, unlike a lot of other stores of that type.)

I simply an Epson Fan – and I love their printers and papers. My clients are always happy as well. I have never gotten a complaint from a client needing print media. If I get it right in Photoshop – Epson delivers a rendition that rarely needs to be tweaked. I also have a product client who product is commercial lighting fixtures – it is all white, white on white with various types of light sources. This paper delivers the whites with the fidelity that is needed to transition the tonal range in a way that the client sees that their product is clean and white for their promotional product. So these prints are good enough to run a press check – when their catalog and sales sheets are printed at the lithographic shops. If you have high quality demand clients – and you want to hit the demand with the least amount of test prints – this Epson Ultra Premium papers are highly recommended by my studio. OH and B&H – best source I know of – and delivery has been on time every time for more than 12 years of service for my studio.
