With a popular E-type luster surface, Epson Ultra Premium Photo Paper Luster will provide digital printmakers with images that mimic the look of traditional silver halide prints. This polyethylene-coated RC base will also deliver outstanding color saturation for vivid prints and it features a basis weight of 240 gsm as well as a thickness of 10 mil. The paper will dry instantly for immediate handling and it offers an opacity of 97% and a brightness of 97%. Additionally, it features a gloss level of 16% at 60°.

I have been using the Premium Luster for a number of years. I find the color is extremely accurate when used with Epsons printer profile for this paper. I like the vibrance and saturation without being overly glossy when mounted behind glass. I find the color sharper and more vibrant than using the Matte papers. This has been and will continue to be my paper of choice for making top quality prints of my photos.

I bought a pack of this paper on a whim, just experimenting with different papers for my R2400 and Lyson setup. I was just astounded by the images I got using this paper. The colors were the best I have seen on any paper I have tried yet. This paper has amazing resolution and contrast range. The best thing, it’s relativly cheap for the fact that images on it are pretty much Cibachrome and dye-transfer level archival. The surface coating is uniform in quality and appearance in each sheet that I have used. I highly recommend this paper.

When used in connection with the appropriate printers (Epson inkjets), this paper produces professional looking results. Of course, remember to set the proper paper in your print settings as printers and papers and settings all must work together to achieve the best results. Luster still has plenty of gloss to provide a good looking print. Also, this is a good value with free shipping from B&H.

Premium Luster is a great paper for the widest variety of images. On Epson printers it produces accurate color and good D-max (blacks). The less reflective surface makes prints easier to view compared to glossy. I produce most of my competition and exhibition prints on Luster.

Just tried this paper. I had previously been using a canon 5100 printer and preferred canon paper for it. The lab at school switched to mainly epson printers. 4880 for now, 4900’s coming. Chose this as an alternative to photo paper plus semi-gloss and very pleased with the results. I mainly am printing multi-tone and tritone images. This paper produced excellent results with nice details and smooth wide range tones. If you are printing grey scale images with subtle split tones this is a great paper at a very reasonable price. I haven’t printed colors yet but expect optimum results based on current experience.

Using this paper with a 4 color printer, using one black and 3 neutral cartridges I have achieved a D-Max of 220. The color is very neutral, and I have been very pleased with the prints.

I bought this for my photography class the year. Overall printing on this is good the photos seem like they have a good quality to them. I would say the main thing I don’t like is how easily it gets ugly marks on it especially from brushing your finger on it. I would’ve also liked having more paper in the pack but that is just me nit picking. For the price it is a really good deal, I am currently on my second pack.
