With a popular E-type luster surface, Epson Ultra Premium Photo Paper Luster will provide digital printmakers with images that mimic the look of traditional silver halide prints. This polyethylene-coated RC base will also deliver outstanding color saturation for vivid prints and it features a basis weight of 240 gsm as well as a thickness of 10 mil. The paper will dry instantly for immediate handling and it offers an opacity of 97% and a brightness of 97%. Additionally, it features a gloss level of 16% at 60°.

I’m a big fan of Epson papers (and printers for that fact). These are top quality and I love the luster finish over a glossy or matte for most of my prints (glossy and matte certainly have their place too, don’t get me wrong, just a preference). This paper is high quality and worth the cost. B&H did a good job getting it to me quickly as usual and it was very well packaged unlike from other stores I have ordered from.

Epson Premium Luster Paper has a great surface that has the look and feel of silver halide paper from the darkroom days. I print my photos on this paper with an Epson 3800 printer and the results are stunning. This is my paper of choice for virtually all of my printing.

I print all our school’s portraits on an Epson P600 on this paper, and it is great. We’ve gone through probably 1000 sheets of the 13×19 and the paper and printer have performed remarkably well. We also use it for magnets by buying the sticky-backed sheets separately. Thicker than you get from a one-hour place, and the luster really makes it look great. It’s pricey, but if you are going for high-end prints, this stuff is pretty great.

I’m a college student with a visual arts major and up until now I had only used film cameras and printing paper. I came in and asked what paper would be good for a novice to the digital printing world and was suggested this product – l love it! I don’t think it’s something that only novices should use, based on my experience with different printing papers using film. It holds the color well throughout the entire page, it’s durable, and doesn’t give that annoying reflection one gets with cheap glossy paper a novice might get to print in film. And that’s the best thing, it isn’t very expensive at all, you get plenty of sheets and there are several different types of the same quality. I’m almost done with this first pack I picked up and definitely am going back to get more soon.

Great paper and texture. Use it for work prints, and personal. Recently had a friend comment to my wife how much she liked the paper I printed on, and she’s not into photography. Epson Ultra Premium Luster is my default paper; that is, most everything I print on my P600 and P900 gets printed on it. Some images may then go on to get printed on a matte like Hahnemuhle Photo Rag or other (more expensive) paper based on characteristics of the print that Epson Luster shows me, but I like to make such judgments based on a paper print rather than the monitor’s version of what I’ve got. Low luster, great blacks, excellent color rendition — if I were restricted to only one paper, this would be it.
