With a popular E-type luster surface, Epson Ultra Premium Photo Paper Luster will provide digital printmakers with images that mimic the look of traditional silver halide prints. This polyethylene-coated RC base will also deliver outstanding color saturation for vivid prints and it features a basis weight of 240 gsm as well as a thickness of 10 mil. The paper will dry instantly for immediate handling and it offers an opacity of 97% and a brightness of 97%. Additionally, it features a gloss level of 16% at 60°.

I use the Luster paper for final projects that are then mounted for my Graphic Design classes. Pros:Great for high quality prints(2880) and photographs. Cons: After printing the colors can smudge very easy, even by touch with your fingers.

While the paper may not be of the greatest quality (I’ve had a few sheets with a slightly uneven finish) it still makes for a solid product and one that I would easily turn to for any of my student projects.

I had to buy this paper for my color photography class. At first I thought it was a bit pricey. After seeing this paper in action, there is no doubt about the quality. The color is spectacular and when you pick up the paper you can feel the quality. I will continue to use this paper even after this class is over with. It’s that good.

This paper, when used on the Epson Stylus Pro 3800 and with the ICC Profile provided by Epson, produces consistently great results. Colors are true, black and white is great, and the finish challenges lab produced prints. More expensive than some other papers, but worth the price. If you are not prepared to step up to the Exhibition Fiber Paper, this is an excellent choice.
