The resin-coated base is also easily handled with a basis weight of 252 gsm, or 68 lb, and a thickness of 10.4 mil. Also, the smudge- and water-resistant media features a rated opacity of 97% and a brightness of 92%.

Epson Glossy Photo Paper seems to bring out the detail in the lightest and darkest areas of an image. I prefer the 11×17 ratio because it is approximately the same ratio as my full frame digital file.

I use as portrait/glamour photography, 11×14 or smaller. Very very consistant redition and dependable with satisfying color and gloss. Customers love it. It is affordable. I would like it to have a little more gloss, but not at the point of sacrificing the above plusses.

This is great paper for a photo portfolio. I like the size of 11×17 because it works well with the cropped CMOS sensor size of the 7D or other Canon models i.e. you don’t have to crop your original shots much to get beautiful full-bleed prints. I use an Epson R2400 to print.
