The resin-coated base is also easily handled with a basis weight of 252 gsm, or 68 lb, and a thickness of 10.4 mil. Also, the smudge- and water-resistant media features a rated opacity of 97% and a brightness of 92%.

I usually print on Epson luster paper. Recently, one of my customers specified glossy for 5×7 prints. I was very pleased with how the images printed on glossy paper. So much so that I am now offering glossy along with luster finish on my order form. I also liked that the sheets are 5×7. I usually have to cut the Epson luster paper into 5×7 size. I print on an Epson 3800 from PS.

This paper is excellent and at a reasonable price. The only reason I don’t give it 5 stars is because It could be a bit better if it were an “ULTRA” version, i.e., thicker than just “premium”, 0.0118 inch (11.8 mil) versus 0.0104 inch (10.4 mil), respectively. Epson makes the “ULTRA” version in smaller size photo paper such as 8.5×11.
