The resin-coated base is also easily handled with a basis weight of 252 gsm, or 68 lb, and a thickness of 10.4 mil. Also, the smudge- and water-resistant media features a rated opacity of 97% and a brightness of 92%.

Years ago I paid a few dollars more for a lower grade of Epson 13×19 paper so I was quite pleased with the substance of this heavier paper. And, of course, the images looked great. I wish it were as easy finding mats and frames for this aspect ratio.

I use this 4×6 mainly for family snaps to go in the album and for proofing images that I intend to print larger. It’s a good quality glossy paper that’s not too expensive. I don’t actually print borderless because that can mess up the inside of the printer (Epson R1800).

I have been using this Epson paper with my Epson printer and Epson ink for years to print my photos for display and competition. I find this paper/ink combination to hold up very well in maintaining the colors from fading for many years. I have prints from digital images as well as scanned slides from my Epson scanner.
