For photographers who want a flat matte surface, Epson Ultra Premium Presentation Paper Matte is a great choice with its bright whites and ability to preserve shadow detail. The alpha cellulose paper features a heavy basis weight of 192 gsm along with a thickness of 10.3 mil. Also, it has a high rated brightness of 104% that helps highlights look their best.
This paper is available here as a 100-pack of 13 x 19″ sheets.

If you have an Epson printer then you can’t go wrong. If you are looking for an alternative to glossy stock but hate the quality of regular paper then you should be using this. I use it for CD inserts as well as photos for family and other uses. I find the quality equal to the glossy photo paper, just on matte which resists fingerprints.

Although I now use a canon printer this still remains my go to Matte paper for work prints. It’s cheap, well made and gets the job done.

I use Epson EMP/UPPPM for test prints; test printing prior to printing on Epson Velvet Fine Art and other similarly toned/hued fine art papers; as well for making fine art print cards. Excellent results. I print with the Epson Stylus Pro 3800 with a workflow that includes BridgeCamera RawPhotoshopoutput to print. This box of 250 sheets is a very good value for the price at B&H.

5 stars, for a 5 star paper. I use this paper all the time for my professional work (I’m an artist). High quality prints every time (as long as you know how to use your printer properly and have the right settings in your Adobe programs of course).I use an epson stylus pro 4900 to print on this paper. I haven’t tried it on anything else. I was asked to write a review for paper, which is a little strange because there is not much you can say about paper. A lot of quality of your print comes from the printer itself and if you’ve properly set up the settings and adjustments in your Adobe program of choice. So if you get poor results from a 5 star epson paper, you’re probably doing something wrong. Make sure you print on the right side.Anyways, the paper is a good size, 17 x 22 is the next step up but the costs of that paper starts to get a little pricey. B&H doesn’t allow me to write the price of the production in my review but I did get it for a good price, no shipping, which made the paper cost roughly 80 cents per sheet. Do the math. Not bad!Remember, Matte paper soaks up the ink a bit and color so you may have to boost your saturation before printing, but that is the nature of matte paper. The colors are vibrant, however, so don’t be discouraged by that comment. The paper has a nice thickness and I love the matte because it doesn’t cause the glare and reflection that semi-gloss, luster, and glossy cause when you look at them.Buy Epson paper, 5 star quality version only. (nothing lower than that if you’re using this for professional work). I don’t work for Epson but you would think I did considering the great review I just gave them.

Paper texture is nice, but color is not very bright. Looks almost like old, discolored paper next to another brand of double-sided, thicker, matte photo paper that I bought from an office supply store that rhymes with “maples.” The latter was also much less expensive when bought on sale. This paper looks slightly yellowed beside the other prints in the same photo album.

This paper is bright, firm, and has both a clean look and a nice hand. It is an inexpensive but high-quality paper for everyday use in matte paper printing.
