The resin-coated base is also easily handled with a basis weight of 252 gsm, or 68 lb, and a thickness of 10.4 mil. Also, the smudge- and water-resistant media features a rated opacity of 97% and a brightness of 92%.

As a professional graphic designer, it’s important that work in my portfolio looks as beautiful as possible. Using this paper in my Epson stylus printer is the best way to do that. It provides a print that’s way better looking than anything a color laser printer can reproduce. And printing on Epson paper with my Epson printer is really the only way to go I’ve tried other brands of paper, but they don’t produce the same rich color and or high gloss. My only caution is that the prints are quite delicate. If you get spraymount on the fronts, they’re trashed (using a solvent like Bestine to remove the stray adhesive also removes the ink from the page). Also, it scratches pretty easily, so wipe off fingerprints with a microfiber cloth, like an eyeglass cloth, not a paper towel.

The paper works and if you have a printing job that requires 8×10 this works. I do have a couple of gripes about the paper; first you are paying close to the same as regular silver halide darkroom paper yet you don’t get a nice print box like you did with the old darkroom papers, second for the price I feel the paper is a bit thin knowing that it’s going to be a piece of art work not some text document, and third in that same regard I can’t stand the way epson has to place their name all over the back of the paper at some mass produce diagonal graphic

I have an Epson printer and the paper works great. Probably other papers would also work. I prefer the epson paper incase of a problem, Epson help desk has assisted with some printer issues. The paper is thanks for the assistance.

This paper is excellent and at a reasonable price. The only reason I don’t give it 5 stars is because It could be a bit better if it were an “ULTRA” version, i.e., thicker than just “premium”, 0.0118 inch (11.8 mil) versus 0.0104 inch (10.4 mil), respectively. Epson makes the “ULTRA” version in smaller size photo paper such as 8.5×11.

I use Epson paper on two Epson printers, including the R1900. The colors are usually true and the print quality is excellent. I get consistently very good to excellent results with Epson paper, including the 11×14 premium glossy paper.
