For photographers who want a flat matte surface, Epson Ultra Premium Presentation Paper Matte is a great choice with its bright whites and ability to preserve shadow detail. The alpha cellulose paper features a heavy basis weight of 192 gsm along with a thickness of 10.3 mil. Also, it has a high rated brightness of 104% that helps highlights look their best.
This paper is available here as a 50-pack of 17 x 22″ sheets.

This is not paper. It is heavy card stock. My Epson WF-7720 was barely able to feed it. It is also not matte, but more glossy than I expected.

I bought this paper and it works perfectly with Epson photo printers. The finished print is mat and smooth like gouache, and color is accurate, too.

I use this paper to make artist proofs. It is very economical – about 50 cents per 13 x 19 sheet. Nowhere on the package does it state that the paper is archival or acid free so I assume it is neither archival or acid free. If I get a show/sell prints I will make the prints on archival acid free paper. But this paper is still a great bargain and the prints will probably last long enough for my purposes.

I very much prefer matte paper to glossy for subjects like flowers and landscapes. iuse it whenever I want the subject’s colors to reproduce in a softly muted way. Epson Enhanced Matte Paper is heavyweight, reproduces colors beautifully and is incredibly inexpensive. Perfect for more artistic images.

If I am printing something that I don’t want for exhibit but maybe for a photo album, I choose this and i buy it from B and H instead of Epson directly because they get it to me quicker and with no hassle.

I use this paper with an aging Epson 2200 printer. I feel like this paper does a great job of providing good brightness for the whites, while taking the ink well enough to give great richness in the dark areas. The texture is very plain — which is fine with me, because I’m more interested in the textures within the image, not in the paper. I’ve had a custom profile made for my printer with this paper, and this paper/printer/profile combination consistently corresponds to what I see on-screen in Photoshop. This predictability is important to me.

This paper is matte meaning the print is often much lower in contrast than other types. However, if matte is what you’re looking for this is the paper for you. It is high quality and B&H is always helpful and prompt.

Although I now use a canon printer this still remains my go to Matte paper for work prints. It’s cheap, well made and gets the job done.
