I use this for samples, demos, proofs and other non-essential prints although I have a few clients who really like it. At this price for a 100ft roll, you can’t beat it with a stick.

This product is excellent for proofing photographs and even for exhibition purposes if displayed correctly. Compared to other (more expensive matte papers) I find this one to create the most consistant results with the widest range of images. The paper does scratch relatively easily but it resist kinking more than others. Large prints from this paper can seem insubstantial when handled for two reasons. Firstly the paper is thin, and secondly because blacks seem flat and the colors seem muted. ALL OF THIS CHANGES BEHIND GLASS. When placed behind glass, Blacks become deep, and Colors become vibrant. I keep a sheet of Plexi next to my printer for quickly viewing prints as they will appear framed. Sharpness of details is also excellent by the way. I don’t sell prints on this paper, because I have heard mixed things about how archival it is. (First epson said it was, then they said is was not and now I hear it is again.) I have used this paper in exhibitions though, and people have always been impressed with the results. In short, this paper does not have the majestic heavyweight feel of a Hahnemuhle rag, but it is consistant, sharp and very inexpensive! Cheap enough to experiment and be creative, without the nagging feeling that you might as well just feed money directly into your printer. If you are framing behind glass, you will find matte papers will look much better than luster or glossy.

This is very nice paper. I keeps the scraps hoping to find another use for them.

Great color saturation, fairly scuff resistant, good for albums. Easy to profile or to use with pre-made profiles, cuts well, tares well.

I run a small fine art business. I need top quality paper but I can’t stock too many rolls. I have been shopping online, comparing price, etc. So far B&H’s supply is most reliable and prompt,… (I buy two rolls each time). So there you go.

I purchased this roll as our basic house paper in our print shop. I use it to proof and to do a fair amount of our printing workload on. The matte finish is nice, it doesn’t smudge, and it has a nice weight. It can scratch on the surface easily, especially if you’re printing large amounts of black. I use this daily. B&H delivered this extremely quickly and I will be making more paper purchases here in the future.

This paper isn’t heavy or acid-free for exhibition printing, but provides almost-as-high-quality long-lasting working prints at reasonable cost.

I just discovered the epson enhanced matte, and I’m sorry I didn’t start using it years ago. The price is extremely reasonable for the phenomenal proofing paper that it is. It translates colors beautifully and has a great weight.

As opposed to the 10 mil thickness of cut sheets, the 7 mil thickness of the roll means you can expect waviness in your print when it is first made. That worried me a lot. However, if you let the print air out for 12 hours, it will be very close or completely flat. Not to worry. When I showed prints to a good friend who is also a pro photographer, he thought the paper looked very expensive and loved the print. I figured the paper cost (not including ink) for a letter size sheet is 20 cents. That’s at the very low range, for me a ‘best buy’. BTW, wouldn’t think of buying anywhere but B&H.

The print quality of this paper is amazing. Especially if you just want to make yourself photobooks, this paper is affordable.

Compared to the ink this roll of paper is a bargain for your epson large format printer. (17in). I want to give it 4 start because I think glossy and coated papers are just a bit better than matte papers. There’s just less pop in these paper than the glossy ones. But as far as mattes go, it’s very good.
