Clear, crisp image printing on this wonderful fine art matte paper ! I’m pleased in every way. It’s my new velvet !

Paper is thick and prints watercolor paintings beautifullly

When I want a matte surface I print my color photos on this paper. I use Hahnemuhle Photo Rag Ultra Smooth for Black & White. The Epson is cleaner looking due to more brighetners added to the pre paper goo. Tonal separation is the best of any matte paper. Best blacks, best shadow detail. This paper comes very close to being able to match a glossy or pearl paper for gamut and adjacent tone separation. If you like matte paper for framing but like the image quality you get in the glossier surfaces this is a nice way to go.

Clean bright white

I love how this paper renders B&W fine art images on my Epson 3800. B&H always double packs it so I never get bent paper and the price is terrific.

This paper is a bit whiter and crisper than Epson fine art ultra-smooth. I like it better after seeing the difference in print quality. I generally print color composite fine art images.

Great for Black and White as well as color

I’ve been quite impressed with how well color saturation is with Hot Press Bright Smooth Matte. Magenta and earth tone colors from photos of the Grand Canyon on a cloudy day are brilliant. Will continue to use this paper and see how well it does with other colors and lighting situations. Handle paper on its edges or wear gloves to keep finger prints off photo.

I have printed on a wide range of papers. This Hot Press Bight paper is ideally suited for Fine Art Photos, especially Portraiture. I suggest, following the guidelines especially handling the paper.

I use Hot Press Bright Smooth Matte with The Epson SC P600 and the match between my monitor and the prints is impeccable and the paper quality is first rate. I couldn’t be happier with this combination.

I print with an Epson R2880 and I love how this paper takes the ink. The paper is thick, weighty, substantial–like watercolor paper, but with a smooth surface. It can be a bit fussy to load, but well worth the effort. I use this also in the 8.5 x 11 size and wish it came in more sizes.

I have been exploring various papers for use with my Epson 3880 and I have found this paper to be superb when I need a bright white and good dmax. I also use natural and cold press. I find myself printing more and more on matte rather that luster or satin now that I have found these excellent paper. Weight is good which if selling unframed would impress a buyer. There are numerous excellent papers out there today and it is hard to choose but you won’t have an issue with this and compared to epson velvet, your gamut range will be better. 5 thumbs up to B&H also for providing the best packaging of paper products. Epson does a good job but the B&H shipping team makes sure that your paper will arrive without a bent edge.

Considering a new paper for fine art photography prints, I took the advice of a photographer friend. The first time I printed on the paper I loved it. The thickness of the paper is good. The print quality is exceptional. Colors were vivid. Sepia prints were gorgeous. The paper showed details in the image much better than previous papers. Very satisfied.

great paper without being terribly expensive

This is a beautiful paper that prints without any problem on my Epson R2400 manual feed, unlike nonEpson papers of similar weight. Epson does not provide ICC profiles on this paper for the R2400 unfortunately but until I can upgrade the printer I have used the Ultrasmooth Fine Art profile and that seems to work well. The paper is very bright, with great color separation and is an excellent value for a fine art paper.

This paper is great. Colors look great. The paper makes the sharpest prints on mat paper. It is easy to handle. Like papers it will curl a bit if it if the humidity pops up; but the curl is relatively easy to get out.

Epson Hot Press Bright is one of my favorite matte papers made. It’s very similar to Hanemuhle Photo Rag Ultra Smooth, which is likely my favorite of all.

I’ve been using this paper for the last 4 years with no problems. The last two orders I’ve received for the 8.5×11″ paper have been completely unusable. The prints come out grainy and blurry.
