We use hot press for many of our fine art prints. Any image where the texture of cold press would be a problem will be printed on hot press bright or natural. These papers are heavy and have real substance to them. They have nice smooth surfaces and show the color very well.

I’m a professional print maker. This is great paper.

Considering a new paper for fine art photography prints, I took the advice of a photographer friend. The first time I printed on the paper I loved it. The thickness of the paper is good. The print quality is exceptional. Colors were vivid. Sepia prints were gorgeous. The paper showed details in the image much better than previous papers. Very satisfied.

I love how this paper renders B&W fine art images on my Epson 3800. B&H always double packs it so I never get bent paper and the price is terrific.

I use this paper for fine color and B&W portraits in my Epson R3000. It is a heavyweight paper that handles and feels like a fine art product. Epson advises very careful handling as the surface is delicate and scratches easily, just be careful and it works very well.

I use Hot Press Bright for all my color prints and B&W prints that I want to feel very neutral. (I use Hot Press Natural for slightly warm B&W.) I wish, though, that the paper were just a little bit whiter, so that it would contrast more with Hot Press Natural.) Thank you.

This paper is not as bright as I would have liked but it’s good for the work I’m doing. The weight is perfect not to thing not thick. Overall I would use this again and with the 3 for 2 coupon its a great deal.

I use this paper and the 13×19 size with my Epson R2000 printer. My formerly standard paper was Epson Ultra Premium Matte, which I still like very much. By comparison though, this paper looks richer and the colors have more depth. You seem to be looking into the paper rather than just at the surface. I initially had some trouble getting it to feed right, but found a solution. When feeding it through the single sheet feeder I keep a slight amount of pressure on the paper until the printer grabs it.

I’ve been quite impressed with how well color saturation is with Hot Press Bright Smooth Matte. Magenta and earth tone colors from photos of the Grand Canyon on a cloudy day are brilliant. Will continue to use this paper and see how well it does with other colors and lighting situations. Handle paper on its edges or wear gloves to keep finger prints off photo.

Lovely paper both color and black and white prints, long smooth scale, good shadow and highlight detail. Expensive. One flaw – on the Epson R2400 it must be fed one sheet at a time by the roll paper input, and it often takes a few times to get it loaded evenly. Really slows down the workflow. However, images are worth the extra effort.

My go to paper for everyday printing on my Epson Stylus Pro 3880 is Epson Ultra Premium Photo Paper Luster. However, when I desire a really artistic look for certain types of photos, Epson Hot Press Smooth Matte Paper meets all of my needs. The paper provides a very rich look; it will not turn a bad photo into a good one, but it will make a good photo pop, and look like a piece of art. The colors are deep and rich looking. The blacks really pop, and the whites shine. As this is a matte paper, I would not use it for photos where I am looking to maximize a bright, shiny look, such as a polished car or gleaming reflections from a pool of water or a recent rain. In that case, I find a gloss or luster or the exhibition fiber paper work best. However, for certain landscapes with deep, rich color and shadows or certain portraits where I want to minimize the bright colors and emphasize a more mid tone palate and deep rich tones, the Hot Press Bright Paper really shines.

Use it for exhibition quality printing. Excellent paper.

If you are a regular user of Epson’s Ultra Premium Presentation Matte paper (Archival Matte), you ought to try this and see the added richness to your prints.

I love this paper. It has become my goto paper for much of my work.

This paper has incredible snap for a matte paper but with brighteners added, I guess we can’t be sure how it will look years from now. That said, the surface, weight, and color rendition of this fine art paper make it an excellent value for the money.

The feel of the paper is very professional and the color is amazing. I am printing with a epson 2400. Make sure your printer is compatible with this paper for the best color.
